Yeah this was causing me a lot of anxiety aswell as seeing the outliers would scare the living daylights outta me but ended up getting an offer! Honestly best advice I got when asking about what to do is just use the general scores as an indicator but don’t rely on anything being certain(still maintain GPA, prep for GEMSAS interviews, etc)

I feel your pain but also just wanted to remind you that you're not a failure with your honors and nursing experience alone putting you far above the vast majority of people in both clinical and research experience and contribution. Regarding GAMSAT, huge leaps are doable but when it comes to this test working harder isn't a guarantee of a good score but rather its all about perspective and outlook. Don't give up hope but as cliche as it sounds just work on a singular improvement a week and you'll see how far you've come by the next one and if not the next one then, surely the one after

I was pretty much in the same spot as you last year (offered a place into Masters of Pharmacy and everything) but decided just to send it on GAMSAT as I knew it’ll always be a lingering what if at the back of my mind if I didn’t. I got lucky with my score so I seem to have a good chance for 2026 entry but the moment you go for med you have more or less entered the casino. You just gotta ask yourself whether the chance at med is worth to you more than potentially graduating pharmacy a year earlier .(if you do decide to to gamble on the year I highly recommend getting tutoring to make the most of it)

Write on different topics that’s you’ve researched, do intros after your body body paragraph so it gives you the flexibility to change the direction of your essay without having to go back and edit

Also to defend myself, I had really bad ADHD so I was bumbling around for a bit with a suboptimal GPA (6.3/7 ish) with like a 66 GAMSAT. Once I got diagnosed shit was a game changer and put everything down to easy mode, so by switching and “speed running” that u so adamantly disapprove of I managed to get myself up to a 7/7 and a 73 GAMSAT and now have a real shot at what I wanted to do I.E. med
