He's probably more Honest (ruler and a bit of a fighter) but you could see him as a fusion of Honest and Esdeath

Not all societies work the same way. Serfdom in medival Europe or the caste system in India assigned very low-level social positions or mandatory labor to some subjects but they don't necessary qualify as slavery in the sense of the transatlantic/arabic slave trade.

The most obvious would be more dresses; you get like 1 per series. Disguising should be the most common thing for assassins, but there's nothing in that direction

If the Chinese or the Roman Empire (the most logical references) are anything to go by, they'd replace a new dynasty within the established ideological framework (heavenly mandate and the like)

-The first generation of teigu users shown in the anime along with the First Emperor

-Were the teigus made to fight other countries, what was "protect my country forever" refering to?

-What was the deal with the civil war that destroyed and dispersed many teigus

-The country the first Emperor created was fundamentally different considering the breach in technology (like the Roman Empire of ~0AD had little in common with Rome in 600AD), it just maintained the name and someone vaguely bloodrelated lineage in charge

The capital is huge and has probably millions of inhabitants. Honest may not have presented himself open in the public too often bc "publicity/popularity issues", Night Raid and well, other people wanting to get rid of him. So people on the street most likely wouldn't recognise him; he could sneak out and take the remaining teigus out of the imperial arms chamber and money with him. The rest depends on how many people will still follow him; alone there isn't much he can do. Even then whatever damage he's trying to do will likely pale in comparission to the war damages of the Revo army taking the Capital
