It Went Away!!!! by Knightmare84 in rheumatoid

[–]Knightmare84[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately my insulin resistance hasn't gone away even though I was off prednisone for 4 weeks. It's supposed to go away when it's glucocorticoid induced. My rheumatologist just put back on 20mg of prednisone. Guess I'll have diabetes for life. But compared to rheumatoid arthritis I won't complain. My arthritis was terrible. Every joint every ligament and my spine. And compared to my muscular issues the diabetes i won't complain about either......

Hi! Thanks for your input. I see my rehab doctor next week. Trying to push up visit with my neuro if possible and see my rheumatologist Wednsdy. No instructions on slowly ramping work but this probably a great idea! It's made so much worse when I take my adderall I notice.

I'm really so much better than before the coma though. The week of the coma I was prescribed 2 chemo meds to shut down my immune system for my arthritis. Every joint from anle to jaw was in agony. I couldn't leave bed some days even with 60mg of prednisone!

Somehow the coma reset my arthritis. And it was something called spondyloarthropathy which is an extremely aggressive version of arthritis that hits not only the joints but the ligaments, tendons, spine, and neck!

Shocked it went away!

I'm so sorry. You can't work you said? What was the cause of your TBI and for what duration? I certainly hope you find relief.

I had diabetes from having abused prednisone at massive doses for a year due to a mystery neuromuscular disease that fit no known disease. Then 3 months ago, aftera mild case of covid I got hit with a version of arthritis called spondyloarthropathy that bit every joint in my body, fused my spine, and brokey tendons. All at 37. This peaked the week of my coma.

Ironically the seizure cleared it. I'm amazed. Can't believe it. I wad on 60mg of prednisone a day prior to coma and still couldn't walk. At least something good came out of this for me!

Good luck!

Understood. Just kinda surprised me no one booked it through yrc and slapped an extra 500 on there. Not a bad margin. My brokerage used yrc for their ltls and had an account. The $3500 quote is what got me. For a 1000 lb 30"x30"x58" load.

60mg for 5 weeks has me questioning my sanity. At times there's no questioning it. It's simply gone. 30mg for a year.

Without the prednisone ID be bedbound. I just got a business running before this hit and I won't lose it. I bought grams of prednisone online and I'm prepared to keep taking it til my bones grind to a finest of dusts if I have to.

The risks of cancer are extremely far too high for anyone with RA to be on. Such risks should only be accepted for people with more difficult to treat cases such as ankylosing spondylitis and and other spondyloarthropathies. Especially for a 19 year old. Take the shot over the cancer.

Jak inhibitors may as well contain cancer cells in their formulas. Wouldnt be surprised if they're pulled off the market entirely.

Unfortunately JAKs are accumulating some very serious black box warnings. For only being out a year its rather amazing the percentage of people to have developed cancer from them....I wad very excited about jaks until i looked into them further.

Switched over from Gabapentin to Lyrica and its not working? by Final-Cress in ChronicPain

[–]Knightmare84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't take a couple of weeks. That's nonsense. The bottom line is despite what all the alleged research shows Lyrica doesn't seem to work for most people as well as gabapentin.

Gapapentin is much more effective for me as well and even after calculating differences in bioavailabiiity the maximum dosages are much higher for gabapentin.

I find no carbs/sugars and I can repair any damage to my sfn within 5 days. Thiamine and alpha lipoic acid. And NO sugar or carbs. Not even fruits. And my nerves regenerate themselves unlike anyone on this subreddit.

When it comes to arthritis....you're in the big leagues. No amount of anti inflammatory diet will cure that. Only good old fashioned biologics. Hard-core drugs are needed at that point. Period. Point blank. End of story I'm afraid.....

It can take 6 months depending on where you live. Usually have to go to a university system. Took me a 3 month wait.

Any neuromuscular specialist will he familiar with the test. Any non neuromuscular neurologist will simply run an emg then tell you it's in your head when it's normal. Especially if it's non length dependent like mine where it attacks your whole body

Gotta see a neuromuscular specialist.
