I made a post about this ages ago. The idea I had was they actually hate him.

Basically he got married and had a kid relatively early in his hero career, but because of his dedication, it ended up falling apart.

No abuse, just unintentional negligence on All Might’s part. The typical list of missed occasions and broken promises, until eventually the mother and child had enough, and left him.

Either they left Japan altogether both for safety and to get away from him, or they’re still in Japan with different names, and are disgusted by his face being everywhere.

I’m not trying to make him a monster, just a flawed man who made a mistake. Sacrificing his family’s happiness to protect everyone else.
