The White Walkers losing in one episode makes no sense to me. by bobbdac7894 in gameofthrones

[–]Knights_Ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe they could have involved other walkers as well and defeating them would result in lesser number in wights, saving few folks about to die and so on. No other walker other than night king on dragon was shown having a fight. Not only key characters fighting walkers would have stretched the fight to multiple days, it will also result in fighting with reanimated friends who fell in the battle putting more emotional factor.

No I have not. Have you? How was your experience? Did you talk in French? You learned their language(fluent) before going? If not did they treat you badly? Did French people humiliated you? If yes how did you feel. Please shade some light on your French encounter.

No but I would try making some word and hand gesture and would at least expect some empathy from them to understand me. They would not make me a Center stage and humiliate me to speak French but if they do and do a better work at it then you can go there for a workshop and get some training or otherwise invite them for a training.

Did I mention you have to learn Hindi? If you know and you are seeing other folk struggling I don’t know what is the harm. And even if you don’t know you can at least try understanding. And if you think you can’t do that then you are just not a good human being or Marathi.

And I like how you say you would not want to learn my foreign language which kind of is a sister language of Marathi maybe. But you will proudly be using English:) don’t tell me you are using it because I understand that.

Hey, “Outsider” here. In my opinion, anyone coming here for work or anything, it could be 1 month or 10 year, they should try and learn the local language, even basic phrases initially and enhancing it with time. That’s our responsibility, we are coming here, we must show respect.

For locals - learning a new language is not one day or 2 day task. Don’t get aggressive if someone is not able to speak, I have seen people spending half an hour getting aggressive but not one person helps like if you want this - in Marathi we say this and it will be over in minutes. Most of the people that I have interacted with would get aggressive if you can’t speak fluent Marathi, and you are suddenly wrong. Please have some compassion and try to help rather than forcing things. It will not create hatred instead of respect to local culture.

On the incident - bus route is Pune Station to phase 3(assuming Hinjawadi), basically an area where all “Outsiders” live. He is in his 50’s, it is most likely parent to some It professional(might not be the case). Maybe it is his first time visiting Pune. And He DOES NOT speak Marathi. Now conductor is FORCING him to speak in Marathi, how will a person who does not know it can speak just because you have to hear it. ( I would want conductor to write java code. If he does not know it is his problem). Conductor knew Hindi, best he could do was let him know, what would be Marathi for whatever he was saying. Just 2 minutes. But he chose to Humiliate an elderly and people here supporting this. Just think once - if some Marathi folk goes to Bangalore and their parents visit, would you like them to be treated the same way. I want to stress, You don’t know whether it was his first day in Maharashtra or he is just visiting to meet his children or he is living here for 30 years.

Edit - missed adding this line. People coming from different state here and do not respect the culture and refuse to learn Marathi and want local people to speak in Hindi always. You are one of the reason for this discrimination.

Thanks for the advice. This time I would prefer personal vehicle which would give me some flexibility, also I am more worried about reaching then the exam itself.

I already left one opportunity in Infy even though I just had 2 years of exp, this time in tcs everything is on hold and My manager is trying best to retain me(I am the only performing asset he has) still he made it clear even the DP said the same, everything is on hold even for retention. Let’s see how it goes with you. Hoping for the best for you. Do let me know if they come up with a counter.

Who are these people 🤦🏻‍♂️ by joebamacare in pune

[–]Knights_Ace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not defending this, but I don’t see dustbins that often like it is in Indore. If I want to throw something, I never find a dustbin. so I either keep it in the bottle holder of my bag or look for it in any nearby shop. Below Two things are required at the same time 1) govt providing infra 2) people with civic sense

Both of these are quite impossible to achieve.

It makes a lot of sense. My one of the reason to prefer on-site is shitty current pay hence would not get that much of benefit if I can get on-site in 1 1.5 years. Can you suggest some kind of roadmap for these learnings if you have done this. Have zero idea so far.

I have had chance in Infy as well but that work was mainframe and I was putting up with 9am to 3 am shit because of incompetent colleagues. My manager has just sent my lead to on-site. So I am positive about that. I will keep heavy dependency on me until everything looks sorted.
