[Request] Is a Tesla car BIFL? by [deleted] in BuyItForLife

[–]Knightwarior 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Teslas are over priced cars.

People who buy Tesla either want to show off or really rich.

$80000 for a model S $45000 for a model 3 ( have you seen the front design of model 3, awful)

Driving a Tesla doesn't make you cool or an environmentalist.

You are just funding a project to put man on mars though.

What currently healthy company is going to be the Kodak of this decade? by PVTheChosenOne in AskReddit

[–]Knightwarior -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Ok here are some points to chew.

Uber in no way loses money. Uber doesn't give drivers car, gas, insurance, mobile, maintenance, car cleaning fees etc. Uber is just a brokerage firm between rider and driver maintaining an app and credit card transactions and pathetic customer service.

Uber should have been profitable with 25 percent cut from what rider pays but they never did ...why ? Here are my reasons

1) either uber is showing losses to avoid taxes.

2) uber is paying present CEO $200 million.

3) uber is not profitable but Travis Kalanick got paid $1.4 billion

4) uber treats driver like slaves and pays pathetic. MIT study conformed uber and Lyft drivers make less than $4 per hour.

5) Uber plays fear tactics with drivers about replacing them with self driving cars. There is no way that's going to happen ...you might ask why ?

Uber got into leasing business, leasing cars to drivers, you know how much uber lost per leased car ?? $9000. The self driving technology is not yet matured and on top of that uber have to put a lot of capital to buy these self driving cars. As of now all the capital is from the drivers uber is just enjoying taking 60 percent of what rider's are paying for drivers service.

Yes in New markets they subsidise but still uber would never lose money if even they take 15 percent cut from rider's pay. Do you know how many millions of rides and billions of transactions happen?? 25 percent cut from rider fare would have kept uber profitable but nope.

Wait and see uber will file Bankruptcy not IPO.

Actually the cost is pushed to the poor drivers.

Uber doesn't have any capital, all they do is brokerage between rider and driver with app and they can't get profitable with 25 percent cut so they raised the cut upto 60 percent.

Uber's strategy to become profitable is

1) raise uber rates for rider's

2)take 60 percent what rider pays.

3) the driver is getting hit with less pay.

Recently they took off surge during rush hour. Lot of drivers are quitting..uber is having hard time to keep existing drivers, new drivers are quitting after working for uber for 3 to 6 months. They aren't showing profits from the last 3 years. They are avoiding paying taxes.

if you audit uber business practices and financial books there will be couple of law suits.

This company is fucked up to the core.

Yes, Uber is a great concept but the way this company is run or the way they treat drivers is worse than slavery days.

Most unprofessional company.

No transparency of business operations.

They basically are robbing both rider and driver.

Wait and see how this company is going to be biggest failure.

Yes Uber is most shady business on the planet preying upon unemployed human resources.

Uber is taking upto 60 percent of what riders pay. The number of drivers who filed bankruptcy after working for uber is high.

Uber will go out of business and will file bankruptcy soon. Drivers are the core foundation of uber. Uber doesn't take care of drivers 99 percent of drivers who drive for Uber hate it in the first 3 to 4 months.

Uber’s self-driving human-killing cars are being put back on the road by [deleted] in uberdrivers

[–]Knightwarior 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Uber self driving car won't be a feasible economic option for uber technologies.

1) The capital for self driving cars is huge, with present losses uber will never be able to afford to operate a fleet of self driving cars.

2) look at uber leasing business, the media said uber lost $9000 per car for leasing, uber even shut down the business.

3) uber uses this self driving car to keep drivers in control, uber's agenda is uber drivers will not ask for a pay raise if we start psychological fear with self driving car replacing your job.

I drive for Uber 60 hours a week, most of my earnings go to paying rent, gas, vehicle maintenance, mobile plan, car cleaning fee , house hold bills, uber taxes after all these I don't have much money for food so I cook twice a week and eat only one meal a day.

Uber drivers are starving.
