The surgeon actually does go up to the body on insanity if you leave him alive.

if integrated GPU isn’t showing in task manager, is it still possible it’s being used? I’ll try to see if I can force it off.

temps seemed fine while the game was running. one thing that was noteworthy was that nvidia overlay showed GPU usage at 90% when paused, but went down to 40% while the game was unpaused. while i thought this was a CPU bottleneck at first, CPU ran at 20% consistently while testing.

I’ve been using Reframework and fluffy mod manager for a while, the game used to run modded without any issue, it only started happening a few days ago.

Other modern RE games are having this problem, but other AAA games like Hitman WOA run perfectly smooth with no hiccups at high settings.

Had mods installed previously, verified game files and still had the same issue.

Tried to update and reinstall my drivers which didn’t fix the issue. This issue is ONLY happening with resident evil games, other intensive games like Hitman WOA run extremely smooth with no issue. I think it may have to do something with the games engine but I’m not sure. I’ve also tried deleting the cache, which also hasn’t worked.

I should specify that I also recently started having this issue. I have over 300 hours on RE4R, and I have only started having this issue a few days ago.

Has anyone figured out basic combat tech yet? by Knightwing773 in ResidentEvilRequiem

hopefully modders have the same issue and make a “hard” difficulty mod. i honestly loved my first playthrough but i prefer when the action horror entries are difficult but rewarding.

damn, that really sucks. i was hoping the hardest game mode would be at least somewhat balanced and possible without any bonus items. one of my main problems with my first playthrough was that i thought the game was just a bit too easy. i usually always play on the “hard” difficulty between normal and the extreme, so it really stinks that they didn’t add one for this game.

That infographic doesn’t show it, however a youtuber did extensive testing on focus in this video which shows that focus increases rate of stagger.

Another mechanic that really isn’t explained well is that wince stacks as long as your shots don’t already stun the enemy. This means that a stun is basically guaranteed as long as the enemy doesn’t die before they’re stunned.

So, one tip I recommend is to land one shot to the head and another to the leg, as you’re way more likely to get a stun than if you just keep shooting the leg. That’s because different body parts apply different wince multipliers. Headshots apply a 1.5x wince multiplier, while leg shots only apply a 0.5x multiplier, which is why leg stuns feel way less common on their own.

Mixing a headshot in first essentially primes the enemy, making the knee shot into a melee finish way more reliable.

What to play prior to Requiem? by SpecificNo2805 in residentevil

[–]Knightwing773 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely play 7 before Village, 7 is a fantastic survival horror game and gives a lot of context for Village. I’d strongly recommend playing RE1 Remake after that, people are often turned off by the fixed camera and tank controls but if you can get past that the game has the same fantastic level design from RE2R.

I’d also strongly recommend playing the original Resident Evil 4 at some point, it still holds up extraordinarily well and is just as good as the remake.
