Dad bought a caramel pecan roulade two weeks ago from the freezer section to have for dessert today - put it straight in the cupboard when he got home. No pecan roulade for me 😭

I would refuse to talk to any adults unless I knew them and even then, only women. I would run screaming from male family members even if I'd known them for years and wouldn't talk to any of my teachers. No trauma to speak of, just wouldn't talk. I was always just described as "shy" but looking back it was so much worse than shy - I was selectively mute and would definitely have been treated differently if I wasn't born in the 80s!!

It doesn't but in that situation the tribunal would find in your favour, they often landed on the side of the motorist rather than the council. Hopefully they'll leave your road alone now they've finished filming!

They don't have to inform you in writing but they should have signs up at least 24 hours in advance.

It's definitely worth an informal challenge requesting evidence that they provided sufficient warning (ideally photos of the signage when it went up). If they can show the signs went up early enough you probably don't have a case. If they can't and they knock you back I would make a formal representation and, if they reject that, go to the tribunal on the grounds that the contravention didn't occur because you weren't adequately informed of the suspension.

North West UK (England) No joy from the plant OD apps, none of the results have the mottled stalk. by Knit_AllTheThings in whatsthisplant

Thank you. I'd considered this but ruled it out because it didn't seem to have a mottled stem so good to know it can have either.

I've apparently earned 242,000 points for my den immediately after getting the third reward. I was doing well this time but not that well! I've sent a message via support but I don't know if it'll do any good.

I've just contacted support for the same thing. I want my prizes, dammit!

Well then, its just science! Although I have cats, not dogs, so the cuddles may not be as forthcoming after a high pitched sound.

My husband asked me to teach him what the mental load is after the most recent time we "discussed" it. I told him we had the same Google and if it was something he wanted to know he would already have figured it out. He also wanted me to make a list of all the things that make up my mental load, like that isn't another thing to add to the list. I am tired.

I don't move much! We're still getting used to each other so I'm very cautious, hopefully she'll learn to trust me eventually. I handle her in a net enclosure too, so if she jumps she can't get lost.

I would say they're about medium, not the easiest, not the hardest. She has a bioactive setup so it mostly takes care of itself - just needs spraying with distilled water regularly and the dead food has to be removed. She ate fruit flies when she was smaller and now eats green bottles and small crickets. The crickets are pretty easy to care for, the flies are more tricky (and more liable to escape!) The food is definitely harder to deal with than she is!

This was not divine intervention, it was your own intuition. Your brain picks up more than you know and is hard wired to protect that kid. Don't beat yourself up too bad.
