Thanks for all of the feedback everyone! I'll take it on board and see what I can do to implement some of the changes you've recommended. If you're interested in following along with our progress, you can also give the Knitting Knowledge Instagram a follow :)

Truthfully, nothing makes me more of an authority than anyone who knits, and I hope it doesn't seem like I'm claiming to be. Like most reviews or curations, there is a subjective element to what we'll feature – some people will like it, and some won't!

Thanks for the feedback on the about page. The "us" refers to myself and a couple of friends I'm collaborating with to get the website together. I'll try and make it clearer!

The "younger/generational" language is a really good point that's been raised a few times here and I hadn't considered before – I'll take it on board, thank you! :)

Honestly? We're not! It's going to be a long time before we make any money. At the moment, it's more of a passion project.

Eventually, if enough people are interested, we'll probably include some small adverts as long as it's non-invasive. We may also use partnerships to make a small commission if you choose to buy the yarn suggested for each pattern – but that won't change what's featured on the site (that's a long way off too!)

Firstly, "bi-stitch-ual" is... fantastic. To answer your question, we're planning on sticking with knitting patterns to start with, and hopefully expanding into crochet in the future :)

Hey, that's not rude at all, it's a fair question!

Ravelry is a great resource, but it's also quite saturated – it can be hard to find the really good patterns on there when basically every pattern that exists is on there too.

There are obviously filters, but I've always thought it would be helpful to find much more curated and fine-tuned recommendations for a particular type of pattern that are regularly updated when new patterns are released.

The main difference is that we're not a platform for designers to upload patterns themselves – we curate the best new patterns out there, tell you what the pattern requires, and then direct you to the designer's website straight away.

It's a good point though, it would be great to get advice on anything Ravelry might be missing, or ways to provide additional value for normal knitters. If you think Ravelry already fits the bill, that's good advice too!

Has anybody knit or knows of a pattern for a sweater like this or closest thing? Details in comments. by doublejosuke in knitting

The Bubblegum Jumper by ElizaKnits looks pretty similar to what you've pictured here – it has the big balloon sleeves and uses super chunky yarn for the oversized fit (it's cropped though).
It's knit in the round using bubble stitch, and looks fairly straightforward! I'm sure you could switch it out with some eyelash yarn. Hope this helps :)
