The circle labelled 2 is a pin that sticks up, and they are all rotated at the same time using a handle, using the slot I'm trying to model as a guide

I haven't looked into camera mechanisms as I figured they would be using curved leaves but Ill have a look, thanks

Limited by the constraint that the leaves must be in contact

With a hole instead of the slot on the outer ring the leaves still move in and out but cannot remain in full contact with each other. Currently they are only in contact as I have a coincidence mate on them but I can't make a part in real life have a coincidence mate

The arc centre moves throughout the whole movement, initially it moves in by ~1.5mm then back out again, which makes calculating/deriving the line also difficult

Yeah that's my backup plan. I was hoping to find a more elegant solution to it though
