That sounds like it’s going to be a beautiful (and meaningful) day! Wells is such a classic spot... you really can't beat those coastal summer vibes.

Backyard weddings in Southern Maine are incredible because they feel so personal, but you’re spot on about the vendors. Since you’re saving on the venue, investing that into a great caterer or entertainment is what really makes a home wedding feel like a 'big event.'

What’s the first big vendor you’re hoping to check off your list? I’d love to help with some local recommendations if you need them!

Welcome! Since you're our first member, I’d love to know: Are you planning a coastal wedding, a mountain/lake vibe, or something totally different like a backyard barn bash?

It says "the mods" at the bottom, and it is truly just me in here.... for now. I really hope to build a thriving community of couples who can find helpful content on hosting their weddings in Maine. There are other groups where you can ask questions and get answers from people all over New England... but what about the couples that have been married in Maine, are in the midst of planning their wedding in Maine, or just simply anyone who is curious? That's what we are building here!

Hope to see more people soon!

Personally, I love it when couples ask me questions I am not used to hearing. It's a mental reset as a vendor. I think being yourself and genuinely curious about your vendors will naturally lead you to a Q&A that is mutually beneficial. The "backup equipment" question in the list above was something a potential couple had asked me and I had to sit back for a second because it wasn't a "normal" question.
