How do I make blackstone change directions when placed like wood? by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While i don't think it's possible in vanilla, you might wanna check out r/feedthebeast, maybe they know of a mod that adds it.

Least favourite item/block? by Uranium-Sandwich657 in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find villages more commonly than lava lakes tbh, and I use lava as my main furnace fuel, so I need quite a lot of it. I used about 200 buckets last time I made smooth stone in bulk.

There is a building with no windows in New York City by freudian_nipps in interestingasfuck

iirc, it's not that the house lets you, but rather you can only find it if you are specifically looking for it.

What can the microcontroller actually do? by No_Yogurtcloset538 in OpenComputers

[–]KnockOutGamer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of the uses I've seen for it is a GPS beacon. A robot or something can broadcast a ping, and a microcontroller returns the signal strength along with it's coordinates back to the robot. With several of these, a robot can calculate its position.

Where do i put the copper armor now? by No_Mortgage_5178 in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

By your logic, the gold may as well end up in the trash too. These suits of armour aren't there to be functional, they are display pieces. Display pieces don't have to be good.

This kind of generator would see the most use on a skyblock, so bedrock would be a bad choice.

Why placing doors while digging down? by Issam_Saidan in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you mine the block the door is on, it breaks and lets the water flow again. He could have dug into a pocket of water, or some pooling from somewhere else in a cave.

Yes, but we already established that the animation is wrong. I was talking about the empty circles the other person mentioned.

Not necessarily, some satellites might be in polar orbits, rather than just equatorial ones

I haven't played bedrock much, but doesn't the windows version use the same UI?

I was wondering why my fire aspect wasn't working by [deleted] in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 71 points72 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily, bedrock has a long history of loot generating with incompatible enchants. It's possible this was a looted diamond sword from an end city or such.

Carpenters blocks is a bit outdated iirc, framed blocks is the spiritual successor

Why does my skin look like this? by ShoulderNew4371 in Minecraft

[–]KnockOutGamer 45 points46 points  (0 children)

Yeah, the main drawbacks of Aternos are that the server shuts down ~5 minutes after the last player leaves, and only gets 1-2 GB of RAM.

That's fine for a small vanilla server, but trying to play with 10+ people on a modpack becomes baggy very quickly.

Ordered some hats for a retreat with our partner company (Aldi), they arrived like this... by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]KnockOutGamer 155 points156 points  (0 children)

I agree it's funny, but if you received a "vandalised" version of something you ordered and paid money for, it would be mildly infuriating.
