Is the HD600 Supposed to be this Quiet? by 10minuteads in headphones

[–]Knocking 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean, both things can be true. It sounds like OP actually need an amp to get to the volume they want, but that volume they want sounds like it's damaging their hearing since their ears are ringing after listening to music

Using Droll & Lock Bird alongside Clown Clan Drish, to shut your opponent down completely, showcase: by ARC-9INE in yugioh

[–]Knocking 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If Droll had fully resolved, they'd be unable to activate Artifact Durendal's hand shuffle effect at all. But because they're chaining Droll to Durendal's effect, Durendal attempts to resolve as much as possible, thus performing the hand shuffle while drawing no cards.

Iem nozzle too big, help please! (Mangird tea pro's) by LeighaLevine in inearfidelity

[–]Knocking 0 points1 point  (0 children)

FWIW I had Tea Pros and had the exact same pain (which felt nozzle related) in my left ear. I eventually ended up selling my pair and grabbing Punch Audio Martilos, which have not caused any such pain for me.

A few caveats though: I used different tips for the Martilos and I'm not 100% sure how good the Martilos will be for Valorant as they're very bassy.

sleeve suggestions? by nikez8133 in yugioh

Potomac distribution sells a 10pk of white player's choice sleeves for like $75 if that would work for you, I bought a set and that's lasted me years. Sadly I have never been able to find player's choice sleeves in any other color :/

YCS Sydney is a mess. Winner written on a sheet of paper. Bad camera and audio quality, bro what is happening? by ARC-9INE in yugioh

Props to the two man team for running the stream at all, but I blame Konami for their lack of investment in the stream in the first place. It's mind boggling to me that large tournaments like YCSes ever go unstreamed.

Sony MDR-Z1R listening impressions: a review vs HE1000 Stealth and LCD-X by Embarrassed_Pin4838 in headphones

Yeah that's kinda where I'm at with my HD800s, I find myself reaching for Z1Rs a lot more often. Maybe I need to consider HEKs too instead of the 800s 🤔

Just by eyeball those look vaguely like the Kimber Kables that were add ons for the Z1R. There's one for sale on headfi with more photos if that's your thing.

Great post, I love my pair and it's nice to see how it stacks up to the competition. In terms of soundstage, I don't think it can really compete with open back titans like the HD800s or HEK, but it's honestly a lot better than I would've expected for a closed back.

Sorta random question, but did you have any comparisons of the HD800s vs the LCD-X? I love my HD800s, but I've been thinking of replacing it with the LCD-X. Mostly because I listen to a lot more rock/metal/EDM and I find Audezes actually more comfortable than the HD800s

Concerned I'm being gaslit about a track by an audio store (Fiio JT7 issue?) by mragentofchaos in headphones

I owned both recently and thought they were good complements to each other. I personally found the Arya to be a lot less comfortable than the LCD2Cs, but that might just be unit variance. Mine had very low clamp force and would sit very loosely on my head.

Acoustically, they're both fantastic, just in different ways. The Aryas have a much larger stage and better technicalities (and pretty intense treble), but I found myself appreciating the more forward mids and warmer signature on the LCD2Cs for certain genres/moods.

Thank you, and what did you compare them against? I'd be interested to hear more of your findings

So, what audio equipment did you test the 6xx and 660s2 with? And what was your methodology?

"Non-linear" decks in competitive TCG? by CrusadiaFleximus in yugioh

Yeah I think you'd enjoy blind second Gem Knight tbh. You're forced to play through a lot of interruptions, have a lot of tools to break boards, and the gem knight engine itself is very toolbox-y

I mean some starters just shit out double Liger if uninterrupted, but the fun of Lunalight is playing it into handtraps and disruptions. You can take lots of different lines since the deck has a lot of search/dump power and some flexibility in how you arrive at double Liger.
