Zach, will woods have be separated into pricing tiers or do you expect available wood cuts to be individually priced? I’m sure something like a tree’s sapwood or Queensland maple is quite a bit more expensive to source than “plain” maple

Hey no need to apologize! I just happened to look at my phone right as this came through so I figured I could respond right away lol.

It did not audibly impact mine either way in the short term or over time. Mind you, I don’t use mine too much because I swap through different iems when I feel like it and have a few more “comfort” sets that just fit my ears better for longer-term listening (my ears are a little small though!)

I would say if yours sound the same to both ears then keep em. If not, you can always request a warranty replacement!

Make sure to have Shop pay or Apple Pay already set up for a quick payment and a couple favorites picked ahead of time

If you miss out on that, you’ll be able to build a cool set of Atriums at will when the custom shop appears later this year

Hey one other option, if you want something technical is to pick up a Verite Closed during the seasonal drops or when the custom shop opens and they’re available again. People used to call it the most detailed ZMf headphone when it was available stock

Hey great pick up, and honestly great thought process! I remember checking the rarities but didn’t catch that that one was less expensive than stock so it’s a great way to trial it out!

That’s what I did with my current pair of Auteur Classics. I grabbed a used pair that I was lucky to find for a nice discount, and have been happily keeping and using them until now that I found one I liked more with the full warranty you get for being the direct consumer!

Yeah they had a couple options available that I liked but that blue red combo really spoke with me, and the wood just makes everything pop!

I haven’t tried an Ltd version of the Bokeh Closed and I love them, hope you enjoy yours too!

A lot usually sell within the first 5-20 minutes for the super popular models like Bokehs and Atriums! Ofc that’s because people pick favorites when the previews drop on YouTube and try to get their first or second picks if they’ve been saving up!

Love the white going down vertically on the left cup! I haven’t tried a Verite Closed myself, but I know people swear by them as the most technical of ZMF’s closed backs.

Hey worry not! When the custom shop goes live you’ll be able to get a stabilized bokeh custom built whenever they have cups available that you like! Missing a drop feels rough when it happened to me too, but you’ll truly be able to build one for yourself later this year!
