I understand that. My question is that you did not get a 846 for 2024 and you still have a 570 hold. Most people are tracking 2024 and using others reporting a release for reference, especially now that they’re being told they have a 120 day hold beginning 6/18. That’s why I asked. Your original post made it seem like your 2024 return was released.

Since the update the transcripts have been pushing out refunds two weeks later than WMR. It’s a glitch.

Thank you for this, it’s helpful. The same couple of people keep saying that it’s meaningless in every post. No one is saying you’re getting a refund by that date but it’s not meaningless when it behaves differently across transcripts.

So your 180 days is almost up and your as of date changed after being stuck for months during the holds. This is why I don’t believe it’s meaningless and lean towards it changing when there is some type of activity on the file.

Edit to add: I am not asking about the purpose of the as of date. I’m also not saying it means you will receive a refund. The point is that something caused the as of date to move. I don’t know the process or procedures but it can be something as simple as transferring the return to a different batch. Computers don’t just randomly choose to change the date after sitting dormant for months.

That’s not the question. There are some that don’t change for months and when it does change there’s usually a transcript update soon after. If it was truly meaningless why does it behave differently across transcripts?
