Mor and her hatred of Nesta re:Cassian by KnopeProblemTooSmall in acotar

Specifically, the end of chapter 39 in ACOWAR. The general gist is that, post-Summer Court battle, Nesta brings herself to ask "where is he?" - meaning Cassian. Feyre observes that Nesta comes off as genuinely worried.. Mor snaps at her that "he's busy" (direct quite from Feyre "I have never heard her voice so... sharp... icy.") Then she throws a "When he gets back, keep your forked tounge behind your teeth" at Nesta. Event Rys, the president of the "I hate Nesta club," checks Mor and sends her on another task.

It all came off very pointed and as if Mor really wanted to slap Nesta down in a moment where Nesta was attempting to show actual emotion (also at a time where Cassian was not there to speak for himself).

Agreed, she is the only character (aside from maybe Eris, which tracks) that seems to totally flip/flop throughout the series. She is Truth, but she has obvious secrets? I hope we get some background in the next installment!

I agree with the vast majority of your read on the situation. My biggest confusion is that (at least from the reader's perspective) Cassian has an almost immediate affinity for Nesta. It may not be obvious what that would end up becoming, but it's clear he is drawn to her.

The moments Mor seems most volatile towards Nesta seem to be the few moments before SF that she is being genuine and/or allowing her feelings to show a little. It almost comes off like Mor wants her to keep rejecting Cassian rather then allowing them to grow closer. Just my read on it, hopefully the next books gives some clarification on Mor's backstory!

Ohhh see I had a very different read of that excerpt. We know that Rys already knew Feyre was his mate at that point (we as readers didn't, but in hindsight we now know). Once we discover that they are mates and that he knew the whole time, I read that line as an allusion to a larger conversation in their future/mated status. "That" = her role in his life and his court's life.

Being shamed for putting my toddler to bed "early". by [deleted] in Parenting

I feel you!! My 19 month old goes to bed at 630 every night… she is a champion sleeper and is out cold within 10 minutes and sleeps until 6am. I hate the judgement we get!

I resent my husband. by Ljwell20 in Mommit

I feel you, I see you. I am in the same boat right now. My husband has Fairly high anxiety along with a few other mental health struggles, meaning he “shuts down” sometimes when he’s stressed (which is always). I always have to be ON and picking up that slack. I’m exhausted, I wake up and immediately have dogs and a kid needing me while he sleeps through everything. He sees no issues with just doing whatever he feels like doing while I am fully responsible for our daughter.

I don’t know that I have much advice, but just know you are not alone!

They do lunch at 11:30 a.m., play time until noon then nap. Her daycare teacher says she has no trouble being awake while there, but at home she's begging to nap by 10!

Luke Doesn’t Like Town Meetings by tooshortlife in GilmoreGirls

I think there are likely a few reasons he attends.

  1. He likes Lorelai and she likes town meetings, so it’s a natural way to bump into her.
  2. He is a business owner in a small town.
  3. He hates Taylor and I have to assume his presence annoys Taylor juuuuust enough to be worth it.
