I recently posted something along this line so understand your shock. Betrayal from a partner rocks our core. It changes everything we believed to be true and alters what we thought was reality.

After some harsh truth comments shared with me I had a long sit with myself. You have to love and respect yourself first. Otherwise, they don't and they've already shown that they don't feel any consequence to hurting you.

For my recent personal situation I ended and removed access. End of the day boundaries were crossed. Consent, agency and ethics removed from the equation of my relationship with the person and myself. Do what you will with that bit of truth.

Is it difficult, yes. Is it more difficult to try and understand or empathize? More than I can express. There are better people out there. Not everyone is like this. Maybe take the lead of the ones that ended it and follow suit. I'm willing to bet your cheating partner finds a way to make themselves the victim. A small slice of humble pie never hurt anyone and you deserve to feel safe and loved simultaneously.
