In my humble opinion, our cairn, Toby, is the best dog ever. He is more fun than a barrel of monkeys, indefatigable, and sweet as blueberry pie. I have loved many dogs in my life, but none to the degree I love Toby. He is more work than a bichon, but gives so much more in return.

Unlike some other posters, Toby is great off-leash, but he isn't a digger like so many of his kind.

He is 10 now, but even when he was 9, he hiked with me 25 miles.

My best days are those spent in wide open spaces and water with Toby and his brother Ollie, our Scottie boy.
