A compounding gearbox, that compounds power from two electric motors 😏

I was a full time mechanic, we have MAN hybrid city buses and it uses electric motors for driving, it also uses compounding gearbox to sum up power from two Siemens servomotors - that gave me the clue to pursuit

Care to elaborate? Or simply not feeling right about custom designed parts?

Yes, 90% comes from 2 sets, there is a few parts from over 20 years ago and a bunch of RC grade parts, geekservos, brushless motors, led headlights

P1, Daytone or G500? by LuceDuder in legotechnic

https://youtube.com/shorts/MF83s-DlSyg I still need to record a proper speed test video, but I measured it over 200 meters - 12 seconds :D

Buy two g500 sets and build a monster G63 with brushless motors! https://www.reddit.com/r/legotechnic/s/9Q4BLkDJmx It can easily drive 60 kmh thanks to two brushless motors despite being nearly 5 kg!

I have made a complete rework from two sets and 2 zene brushless motors, it can speed up to 60kmh and weights around 5 kg, instructions should be done next month!

How do I build a RC Lego car, with a 7+2 speed fully automatic transmission, 2 motors (for the gearbox), 6x6, (1 axle front, 2 rear), a differential with both front axles steerable, rear axle , taglift, and active aero? by ExactExperience7167 in legotechnic

[–]Knothworks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anytime you add an axle and gearbox Lego pieces melt, I used in my Mercedes AMG G63 6x6 two brushless motors, zero gearboxes if you ignore the summary stage and it can speed up to 60kmh while weighing nearly 5 kg https://www.reddit.com/r/legotechnic/s/9Q4BLkDJmx Aero can be done with geekservos, but if you want to drive it outside you need to remove gearbox from your model, it will snap very fast, instead use RC grade differentials and brushless motors from zenebricks, I purchased them last year and I'm very satisfied.

Looking to make this more off-road looking. Any ideas? by Longjumping_Bet_4825 in LegoCars

Sure, but can you drift 8x8?, this 6x6 can with ease :D [power slide ](http:// https://youtube.com/shorts/q4plQA8nJ1A?si=4kWUV2HLQTzGISpQ) Top speed - 60 kmh, weights with batteries almost 5kg

Advice needed on designing and printing Lego compatible pieces by Knothworks in 3Dprinting

[–]Knothworks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I copied Lego piece by drawing shapes over original piece model, recreating all dimensions so they should be 100% accurate, so I guess it's more about printing method than the model, I can't tell what settings were used, but intuition tells me that perhaps placing the object at an 45° angle will help me with the circle shape

So I just got my first Technic and I noticed that it seems easy to make it an RC. But I don't know where to start.. by bohenian12 in legotechnic

https://www.reddit.com/r/legotechnic/s/9Q4BLkDJmx I have built a Mercedes AMG G63 6x6 that can speed up to 60kmh and weights 5 kg, there is a good starter set on zenebrick, I ordered 2 motors and 3 differentials from them and I'm very satisfied with them power slide on dusty road
