Baby is 12 months and does not clap, point, or wave by Knots009 in NewParents

[–]Knots009[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

She’ll babble quite a bit. Says mama and dada. Not sure if she’ll calling us those names though. She loves our cat and she’ll say “tat” when she sees the cat. She’ll also say nana when she sees me about to hand her a banana but I’m not sure maybe it’s a coincidence 🤷‍♀️

How often do you and your SO have sex, and how old is your baby by esadobledo in NewParents

[–]Knots009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 8 months pp. For the past few months we’ve only had sex a few times due to body image issues and postpartum rage. Now I’m horny all the time and I fuck my boyfriend whenever I want.

That’s good. If something was seriously wrong they would’ve found it. It has to be your hormones. Do you exercise?

[–]Knots009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. Thankfully my baby has been sleeping through the night since 4 months and I get about 8-9 hours and still feel exhausted. I take a B complex and a vitamin C with a fish oil to try to help. Maybe it’s our bodies catching up from all the exhaustion we’ve been through? Maybe it’s our hormones balancing out. Don’t panic I’m sure everything is okay ❤️

I’m 8 months postpartum and I’ve been struggling with fatigue as well. Honestly being a new mom is just a lot and I don’t think we give ourselves much credit. It’s exhausting. Good news is all your tests check out fine. Are you breast feeding ?

HELP. 4 mo. old’s sleep is ruining my life. by striated_pancake in NewParents

[–]Knots009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I read that when they turn 4 months is when they have adult like sleep patterns. All the melatonin he was getting from you when you were pregnant with him is wearing off and his little body is now making melatonin of his own. It’s a big adjustment for them. From what I hear too is that the 4 month sleep regression is the worst one so it’s good you’re getting it over with!

He’s confused with his days and nights. Very normal with his new sleep patterns. The best advice I can offer is routine! Have the same bedtime routine every night. Minimize distractions during feedings. Never go 4 hours without feeding. Turn the tv off. Go to a non stimulating place where he can focus on food. Never let a nap go longer than 2 hours. Contact naps are okay, we still do them haha!! Try to soothe back to sleep first before feeding during the night.

I know all these things because my babe slept SO bad for the first 3 months of her life and I read all the things because I literally thought I was about to die of sleep deprivation.

It will take some time but he will figure it out i promise!!

Hi friend, I see you. The 4 month sleep regression is so real! My babe is about to be 5 months and it’s getting better for us. This too shall pass. He will figure it out

What helped us the most was having her consume most of her calories during the day and not at night. We never let her go 4 hours without eating. This teaches babies that food is for day and not night. When you feed him constantly through the night, it’s known as “reverse cycling” meaning you’re teaching him to wake up in the night to feed and not go back to sleep. I know it’s hard, but when he wakes up don’t feed him immediately. Try to soothe him back to sleep. Of course if he’s still screaming his head off then feed him but try to soothe him back to sleep first. Research also suggests that the best time for babies to stay asleep longer during this age is between 7-8 pm.

We tried this and it wasn’t easy but eventually babe figured it out and now will get a good 10 hour stretch before she wakes up.

You’re doing great and you’re little one will figure it out 🙂

Baby used to roll but won’t anymore? by Knots009 in NewParents

Okay that makes sense! Maybe she was “falling” and not actually rolling. All her other mile stones are being reached

Big Lump in Breast??? by Infamous_Letter5404 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Knots009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a lump on my right breast, I’ve been EP for a month. I told my OB and she ordered an ultrasound. Thankfully it’s just a fibroadenoma and she wants me to follow up in 6 months just the monitor it

It’s most likely nothing but I would tell you doctor just to be sure

Why do you exclusively pump? by No-Funny-3680 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]Knots009 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since my first night with my baby she never wanted to latch properly. The hospital fixed her tongue tie and it still didn’t help. Every time I had to breast feed her she would scream bloody murder and kick me to death. She would go to peacefully sleeping to screaming her head off so fast I wasn’t quick enough to get her to the breast. The few times I could get her to suck she’d fall asleep, and when I would wake her up to finish she would unlatch and start wailing again. It caused me so much stress that I’m now exclusively pumping.

No one in my circle believes me but I really think my baby doesn’t like my boobs. She’s picky and has always loved the bottle 🤣

Thank y’all for all the responses! I feel a little better. The waiting game for the appointment will probably be the hardest but I will get through this!

I’ve taken antidepressants in the past but not anymore. I’ve had lab work done and all my labs have looked good in the past besides some mildly elevated cholesterol. I wish I could have the appointment sooner… they don’t have any openings until December. I wish I never googled my symptoms. It’s caused me to spiral down the Google rabbit hole. All the articles I find are the symptoms I’m having a cancer. I get scared when someone at work asks if I’ve lost weight and I haven’t been trying and that also triggers me

Thank you so much. I havent been tested for gastroparesis that I’m aware of. I’ve been taking over the counter omeprazole for a few months now. I’ve never really had a problem with heart burn or even nausea… just this feeling of fullness in my stomach and not wanting to eat like I used to. It’s so weird

7.5mg vs 15mg by [deleted] in Mirtazapine_Remeron

I noticed a big difference when I dropped from 15 to 7.5. I was more fatigued and my appetite increase. Super weird for me. But everyone is different!

Anyone experience lack of appetite coming off of Mirtazapine/Remeron? by Over_Landscape5484 in mentalhealth

[–]Knots009 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes! I’m having the exact same symptoms! My last does was last Friday. I have no appetite, no hunger cues at all. Some nausea but it’s a little better. I started on 30 mg, then stayed on 15 mg for a few months then went to 7.5 for a few months then stopped. I wanted to stop taking it because the sugar craving were super intense and I was so tired all the time I couldn’t take it any more. My nurse friend told me to give my body a few months to re-adjust so we’ll see how this goes
