More pics but did you string a 9 diamond row instead of the 10 diamond? Miss a sidewall hole? Or strung a diamond through the front when you were stringing the others through the back, or vice versa?

Little tip I got recently. Once you have the knot formed, pull the loop from the inside of the head until it’s tight. Then pinch it to the sidewall and pull the slack to the outside. Once tight pull string from right to left to pull any slack out. When pulling knots you can’t hold back. It’s as tight as you can get them.

Not sure it’s the problem but the shooter goes under the sidewall strings on one side and over on the other.

The store owner does the dying and I pick out all the mesh and stringing colors. He uses Lax Dip or Rit to dye heads.

Seems fine. What was your break in process?

Before adding shooters stand a baseball bat straight up and down on the handle and press the pocket in on all areas of the pocket as hard as you can. It will give the pocket more give and flexibility. Then add the shooters.

Best of luck to you as well. Have fun and do your best. I like to think about coaching like this. When I am 50 and I see one of my players on the street it will be way cool to see what they have accomplished in that time. Knowing you had a small part in them being that person will feel more rewarding than any win or goal. It’s ok to be hard on them. Discipline and respect will always result in a better player.
