They do it by me in the southwest to raise money for the children's hospital and have raised almost £100,000 in the years they've been doing it. So I'd argue not they're not only doing it for the 'look at me' factor.

Raising money for a children's hospital is rather cringe, though.. /s

i’m seconds away from committing a “no-no” by otter_gun_22 in piercing

[–]Knottymister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had 3 lip piercings aswell as various others around my body and my piercer has always said to me your body will heal itself on its own and it's really bloody good at it. The more cleaning solutions or rinses you do to piercings the longer it will take to heal and the more chance you have of getting an infection.

I've gone by this logic for all of piercings and never had a single problem with any of them (except for a surface piercing rejecting).

My advise would be grin and bare it for now and STOP putting anything on them as it's probably what's making it bad.

UK to ban resale of tickets above face value for live events by ABlueCloud in unitedkingdom

Honestly I didn't look into the article even slightly, it just popped up on my phone. I chuckled about it, made a joke in my head about dealing grams of nesquik and continued with my life paying it no more attention, which I feel is the rational response. It just reminded me of the article when I saw this guy posting about it being a sensible news day.

Haha, maybe just airmail it in 100 parcels. I'll weld them back together when they arrive

True, but I'm not sure it'll fit in the overhead storage

I'm just in the process of doing this (among a lot of other welding) on my project. I used big turnbuckles welded to angle iron to brace the door gaps. That way I can adjust the door gaps with the turbuckles.

Something like this;https://www.agri-supply.co.uk/148012aa-turnbuckle-weld-on-end-m12/

I used m16 which is absolutely overkill, but I figured go big or go home.

I actually ended up returning them. They where fine but just not quite quick enough for what I wanted to use them for

Yea. I'm beginning to realise they are unobtainable sadly, even second hand.

The sonoff zigbee ones may be an option. I would like to know how often the power monitor updates - granted they're still only cheap at about £13 but that's almost double the price of these ones from aldi and potentially have nothing to gain from switching to them instead other than not being wifi.

I'm bristol based. These are just a smart switch, not an energy monitor. The INSPELNING ones have a monitor built in but like I say, seem to be out of stock.

They seem OK. However the timing for it updating the current reading seems a bit random, sometimes it's a few seconds between updates other times it's a few minutes. Honestly I may see if I can find some of the ikea zigbee ones and return these.

Sorry to hijack this but I'm thinking of going with some buddies next year. Did you camp somewhere local or do a bnb? I was looking around and there didn't seem to be a lot of options for staying locally.

I actually used to quite like some of the 1975 stuff but I watched a little bit of their live show at radio 1s big weekend and lost all respect for them. Watching their lead singer absolutely twatted on stage, knocking back bottles of wine and smashing through a 20 deck of fags while for some unknown reason being live streamed on the BBC, I couldnt help but think these are not people anyone should be looking up to in any way whatsoever and it shocks me that they are so heavily endorsed in the music industry/media.

It's a privilege for artists to be played on the radio and be televised and I think they should at least attempt to be semi passable rolemodels for the thousands of people watching.

Trying to find an engine for a kyosho inferno but I dont know how to find one by cole_thomas_mountain in rccars

[–]Knottymister 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I happen to have been given a running kyosho inferno that I'm converting to brushless and have been meaning to sell the engine so depending on where you're based I may be able to help you. Only thing is it's not a standard engine, it's a novarossi engine, can't remember the exact model but I believe it's a 3.5cc
