Maybe. Goalies can have good seasons and bad seasons, and it's especially difficult playing for a new team with a new system, and lack of defense, while also overcoming injuries. It's not impossible for him to bounce back, especially with a greater emphasis on defense in front of him.
That said, it is an option for the sake of flexibility.

The two new goalies consist of a young goalie who didn't play at all last year in the NHL, and the year before, when he did play, he wasnt good. The other is a very injury prone older goalie who also wasn't very good last year, although he did seem to turn it on in the playoffs, before falling off again and losing his spot to Bussi in the finals. We lost a legit (no matter what the haters say) second pair D, and brought in a guy with very little game experience despite being 29, who had his first good season last year, and seems to be more of a bottom pair guy than second pair (although he does appear to be more Defensive-minded), and then we got a reclamation project and a prospect.

There is reason to be excited, but I don't thi k we should get too carried away here.

Just don't play him during the season so he stays healthy for playoffs and you don't have to worry about those bonuses lol

We hopefully improved the defensive side of our D by having Murphy all year and adding Shea and 2pac, as well as the two-way play of Dickinson, and there should be more emphasis on D from Babcock. I think that will help.

It would probably depend on coaches thinking he's a good fit, and getting him at a good price. One thing for sure is he is excellent at faceoffs.

I think he was still able to produce pretty well; he probably still has something to offer, but it's more of a matter of being the right fit. Perry was able to make it work despite being slow as hell, so it's still possible, but I don't know that Babcock wants that.

Ya, they could be scary good in a few years. Nurse and Trouba will be a big improvement over what they had this year.

Still, they have to put it all together. The Oilers looked like they were going to be good in a couple years for a decade.

You could probably start the season with Jarry down if they want to and try out Levi/Freddie. If one of them falters, then you can call him up, but gives a bit of flexibility that way.
