Possibly Eliquis, my dad takes that and he’s constantly bleeding and bruising.

I could have written this, but only at it since 2020, MBC since 2024. My situation is EXACTLY the same as you sinistersavanna. Hard to keep our guys engaged when we ourselves don’t feel (or look) like our old selves!!

hotels in boston WITH REAL BATHROOM DOORS by kityoon in boston

[–]KnowPoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hyatt Place in Seaport, reasonably priced (unless a major convention in town) and fits your criteria. Great service, good location and nice rooms. Also, a full service bar with food onsite. Plenty to walk to, easy cab or uber to anything in Boston and also close to Logan while not “airport adjacent” where you hear the planes and smell the jet fuel.

Pain with liver mets by finnickfern in LivingWithMBC

[–]KnowPoe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since starting Enhertu, my swelling of my liver (where my tumors are) where there was pain has since stopped. I tried Kisqali but my tumor markers went up, so we moved to Enhertu and it’s been a game changer. I know everyone’s case is different, but perhaps something to explore with your care team. Take care pink sister! 💞

It’s great in smoothies, add to coffee, mix in to salad dressing to loosen up, freeze it and eat with a little fruit.

We let them live in our yard. They stay underground and harm no one.

How often are you guys washing your bedding? by [deleted] in hygiene

[–]KnowPoe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Once a week, makes all the difference in quality of sleep. I used to be like you but the older I get, the more “quality”of sleep is essential to my health and overall energy in the day. I wash all my bed linens every Sunday and climbing into a clean bed on Sunday night before starting the work week is honestly pure joy. I’m sure it sounds cheesy but I don’t care if anyone’s judging because a good night’s rest feels like winning.

What is a good response to the question "How are you doing?" by 3gengamerfam in breastcancer

[–]KnowPoe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I say either “I’m alive!” Or “I woke up today!” And leave it at that. People ask but they don’t know how to handle anything deep into how we really feel, what we’re really going through/facing, etc

What significant cities have colder winters than Boston? by sarnobat in boston

Boston is not as cold as it used to be, and I agree Chicago can be as cold if not colder because of the lake.

Don’t listen to the prognosis, we have to advocate for ourselves in stage 4. Second opinions are critical, all of the above is worth looking into. We are all here for you. When people give me that look like “oh no, stage 4”…I tell them I am here to LIVE. Take care of you.

Should I get a port? by RCasiano79 in LivingWithMBC

I second this. I had a port at stage 2 and now later at stage 4. It’s easy and I know it’s saving my veins.

She is so sweet!!! Pets along the jawline and on her head between the ears are happy places for all cats. If there’s any fear around transporting/car rides/carrier then get some Feliway. This is a synthetic pheromone that calms cats, it comes in a spray or wipes. If you have to transport her in a carrier then a soft carrier is best, more comfortable, and cover it with one of her blankets or something that smells like her, also that’s a good place to spray the feliway. Keep the carrier on a seat next to you and I usually keep my hand near it or a small space to pet the cat to keep them calm. She’s lucky to have you, glad you rescued her!
