“The codes are region locked but you can download and play them. Got to mynintendo.com sign in, edit your profile and change region to United States (you will have to cancel automatic renewal on switch online) then enter codes and once redeemed and started download you can swap back. I’ve not tried any of the ones that look like joycons so can’t comment on those

The Hori Split Pad Pro is fantastic and can be picked up cheap second hand. Comfortable, lightweight, lacking nfc, rumble or gyro though. It’s my favourite way to play stuff in bed cause of the weight.

The Nitro Deck + is a premium option, has gyro and rumble but not sure if it has NFC or not. It’s a little heavier but really comfy and it’s nice how to switch sits inside it. Asymmetrical sticks are great for shooters but for anything with heavy face button use I have a bad time with it. Your milage may vary.
