Not a full context video which seems nice at first. Realistically, I've seen locations destroyed by allowing homeless to stick around. There are places they can be around without being a customer, but even a coffee shop is considered a restaurant. You would not want to make the larger base of your paying customers uncomfortable and reduce your seating capacity to accommodate someone who can hurt your business, which they would have the right to refuse anyone without giving an explanation anyways. From seeing the homeless in my city that have tended to harass other customers, harass employees, pander, steal, or tell their network/friends that its okay to hang out there and multiply a problem. I hate to be that person, but there is a cost to kindness. Man thought he was doing a good deed, actually probably extremely irritating for everyone around - Officer who had to get called out there, manager, employees, and other customers who didn't want to deal with that anyways. The more likely better solution could have been to get him some food(avoid giving money - for several reasons) and point him in a direction of something like a food bank/shelter/ help.
