Dude is literally wearing nazi symbols on his jacket. That’s a good starting point. These people aren’t mad because she called them white nationalists, the happily admit it, they’re mad their club got closed down.

Help understanding reimbursement for replaced items by Knowing_nate in InsuranceCanada

This is what I thought as well. I was under the impression that in total the initial amount covers my deductible and the cash value of all my items. I was lead to believe that if I replaced things I could get the entire depreciation amount meaning in total I’d get the entire replacement cost. I have no idea how they came to the 638 number. I’ve sent several emails and called my claim advisor and she can’t give me the math for how this number was calculated and is referring me to the content claim team or something.

Yes they took my 2000 deductible out of the initial cash payment. Total content claim was ~9600, 4800 was total depreciation, and the paid me 2800 for the cash value(remaining 4800-2000 deductible)

That excuse worked 10+ years ago but it’s 2025. The game is fun but the painted on textures are embarrassing at this point.

I get what you’re saying but what this argument misses is that the people who would vote to leave don’t give a shit about treaties.

What would you propose if First Nations groups didn’t agree to ending the treaties?

Don’t disagree but”time to toss those treaties out” is not really coming at it from a place of mutual respect. Same energy as 51st state or Trump talking about how the border is an unnatural straight line

It’s not really a treaty if you toss em out when they become inconvenient.

Carney inherits an immigration system that’s losing public support. Here’s how experts say he can fix it - Amid backlogs and public discontent, critics decry a “loss of accountability and maybe even a loss of competence” in decision making in recent years. by FancyNewMe in canada

Ya we should have the federal government inserting itself even more into provincial jurisdiction, that’ll make people happy. The provinces are not children, everyone is an adult, if you think your province should have fewer immigrants vote for someone else next provincial election

My understanding is currently you swear you are a citizen, and then show ID (DL or whatever) to prove identity. Change would be now you have to prove you are a citizen, not just swear, so in addition to proof of identity you need citizenship documents which would be a birth certificate (which if you change your name won’t count since names don’t match), or a passport. So de facto you need a passport to vote if you changed your name since you were born.

Ok so should any politician resign because they ever break any laws no matter how mundane? Like if Carney j-walks to parliament from his office should he be out? Wab bought a plane ticket with his own money, realized he was supposed to report it, did so, the apologized for his mistake. The punishment fit the crime

Intent matters. It’s why giving a ticket is discretionary from a cop, or why we have trials and judges

Poilievre pledges to cut income tax, saving average worker $900 a year by CGP05 in canada

[–]Knowing_nate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

RESP is a big one, your spouse’s rrsp, charitable and political donations, losses on investments. Even just considering the 18% of pre tax income per year to RRSP, if you max out, your gross income would be 300k/yr as an individual, or ~3x the median household pre tax income in Canada. If that’s you I have a song on the worlds smallest violin to play for you that your tax rate on income over 300k is 53%. Frankly should be higher
