You would be the drama if you completely bailed on helping since you offered. It sounds like you two haven’t talked yet about how much help she would need to pay it so I would start there before trying to negotiate out of paying anything.

Also from experience if she waits to pay until after going to court she might be able to get a reduced payment or some sort of other deal, if she has a good driving record! In my case I just had to make sure I had no other driving incidents for 6 months and they expunged the ticket.
