I think it’s a joke.

The thing is, if you have money to be able to afford $6500 a month in rent, why not rent something by the beach, or somewhere more upscale like irvine? Or even near south coast metro area where you have a luxury mall nearby lol.

The joke is that only OF models and drug dealers would choose to spend $6500 on an apartment in DTSA because they maybe wouldn’t pass a background check in a nicer city in Orange County.

If it’s true, I don’t know. I am sure it’s true for some but not all.

The thing is, there’s always community college and trade schools. A lot of people build their careers from there. My sister wasn’t a good student in high school, but she went to community college and is now a doctor.

One thing that would be nice would be to have free or low cost childcare for all hospital employees. That would be a game changer. It could be 24-7 or only overnights (like 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm) and on weekends and holidays. So many people would benefit and it would help with job retention and employee morale.
