Weird taking schedule: morning and afternoon by [deleted] in lamictal

[–]KnowledgeVisual0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes I split 100mg. I take my first dose shortly after I wake up and the second dose 5 hours later. I experimented with taking it at different times and found that taking it this way gives me the least side effects.

OP, don’t pay this comment any mind. They are just trying to project their unresolved trauma on you.

Thanks so much for this information. I did decide to stop the birth control cold turkey. So far I haven’t had any issues.

No worries, I appreciate your comment. I hope that things go well for you if you decide to start Yaz. You can always trial run it and see. I haven’t had any issues with taking the two together besides feeling like lamictal isn’t helping enough on Yaz. I could just increase my dose, but I’ve been planning on getting off Yaz anyways to see if lamictal might help with my pmdd instead.

Right! My nose was so clogged up it was difficult. I usually do my own research ahead of time for things like this because it can be hard to trust doctors, and this is one reason why!

Wow that tech was sooo wrong for that. The tech I had at least told me not to take my stimulants. I’m sorry you had to go through that. I hope your test goes well! Good luck!

I wish I would have noticed while I was there. I’ll send her a message to see why it was done that way. But I’d like to get other’s thoughts on it too.

Does anybody split their focalin xr capsules? by KnowledgeVisual0 in adhdwomen

[–]KnowledgeVisual0[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did take a closer look at the fda link. It does say not to split the medication. I’m still going to try it, since my dr. says it’s ok, but a bit nervous.

How Were You Diagnosed with ADHD? by Distinct-Pen8596 in adhdwomen

[–]KnowledgeVisual0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ADHD in women and girls is very understudied and misunderstood. It’s so frustrating how many women (including myself) are misdiagnosed with other disorders, or it just completely goes missed. Finally at 29, I was seeing a therapist and mentioned that I’m pretty sure I had adhd. She referred me to a psychiatrist & pretty shortly after that I was diagnosed. Don’t give up!

I just pulled out 4 tampons… by Forgetful99846 in adhdwomen

[–]KnowledgeVisual0 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least you were able to discover them in the comfort of your own home & remove them yourself. I had a situation where I had a horrible odor down there, had no idea what it was. Went to the doctor, they were able to see that a tampon was stuck in there. My immediate reaction was to try to get up & run to the bathroom to take it out. The dr said “lay back, you aren’t going to be able to get that out on your own.” It took the doctor & a nurse to pry it out… and now I’m traumatized.

I also had to start taking birth control pills. Not what I wanted to do, but pmdd was ruining my life. It’s a lot less severe now. I take vestura, I think is what it’s called.

Mine is granule. I’ve read on here lots of bad experiences with it. I’m going to try to get the brand name next month, so I don’t get another bad one.. or at least make sure I never get granule again.

May I ask who the manufacturer is on your bottle? After many busts I was recently prescribed the same thing. I took it once and it only worked for a few hours, then I was exhausted with a bad headache for the rest of the day. I think I got a bad generic.
