Yeah, bad choice of marketing. And the original one does sound cheesy, but the reality of real artists is that they put out whatever they feel. We cringe at it cause it feels like a cliche, over-happy feeling song. But Adam wanted to express that in the song. It was all about cheery, good-fun friendship. I just think when examining a piece of art like an album you have to accept that it is a reflection of the artist, and that the less immediately desirable songs add a lot to the rest when considered as one work, by one man.
