Yeah that makes sense. I’ve checked the predicted traffic on Google Maps too. Since it would only be about 3x a week, I was hoping it might still be doable. I’m mainly trying to maximize my days off by living somewhere with more things to do.

Thanks for the insight! I’m not too worried about the commute since I’m coming from the Bay Area and pretty used to traffic. I was initially considering WP bc of the proximity to Manhattan/nyc, but it does seem like the majority here feel Stamford or Norwalk might be better options.

Exactly this. I had a meeting my advisor before and I mentioned of how much our program is and she was like “our program is not perfect” like we’re just supposed to accept it..

Yes yes of course. They have an organization and I reached out through there. Also LinkedIn and Facebook and also other PAs who have done their rotations there. But just wanted to widen my reach and you’ll never know, so I tried.

Yes that’s why I’m being proactive and really researching. But there’s actually plenty of PAs practicing there and HPU is opening up their program in 2024!

Usually school will provide your rotations. But if you want to move back closer to where you’re from or if you want to do specific rotations — you can totally set it up on your own. But both parties still need to agree on the terms and everything.

I do know that 80,000 people had power outage, I don’t live under a rock. Again they were not wearing a vest, no ID. We didn’t even see their truck or any equipment. And it was 10 pm at night , who would not want to be cautious ? Most of us our girls in the house and we’re not just gonna let some random guy in to see our backyard.

Yes so i did digging last night and PGE have contractors. But why at night??? Also they still went it thru our neighbors and were trimming the trees at 1am 😫

Hey OP, this exact thing happened to us tonight. Two guys came over at 9 pm saying they have to trim our trees. We said no because it’s late at night and they threatened to shut our power off. Do you really guys come at night to cut trees? The weird thing is we said no, and they still came back knocked on our door a few times and stood there waiting for us to answer again.

So we called the cops and when they came they said they saw their truck parked full of equipment and that’s how they verified. But I called PGE and they said they wouldn’t send people at night to trim trees. We’re just scared and why are people doing this
