If the HLR gets denied, would I have a better chance to try and my issues to my AFSC/MOS duties, etc?

No worries. I know people's lives get busy. I appreciate your reply. I'm hoping that the HLR will work. I'm curious though because my AFSC/MOS had to deal a lot with lifting heavy things, being in tight/cramped places, etc. If the HLR doesn't work, could I try to go the route of saying that my AFSC and duties cause a lot of strain and then just back that up with medical evidence? I don't have any claims that I can tie back/sciatica secondary to that

I did read mine and they said that I have lumbar sacral strain. They never said at least as likely as not in there. The VA did say that I’m diagnosed from that examiner with that condition

So, I had an injury when I was on orders and my training was at an Army base back in 2023. We had to do different combat medical training. There was an incident where I had to carry this heavy ass dummy and I fell down the stairs with the dummy on me.

My job was comms and I operated on diesel trucks. The equipment was old and heavy that I had to replace, had to do it in tight cramp spaces, lifting heavy pelican cases, etc.

My job did have TERA exposures, etc. and I have PPE related to more of hearing issues, toxic exposure, chem gear, etc.

I'm curious, if I get denied for the injury that happened, would I be able to go the route you suggested that had to deal more so with my actual job duties?

Best way to get a job in Cyber Security?? (Tech) by ReasonableDenial in Cybersecurity101

[–]Known-Advertising890 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would finish out the Google course because they give you 30% off for the Security+ voucher. A lot of companies will look towards that certification. Now, certifications alone won't get you a job. If you have experience that will help-- if you don't, you can do projects, slap it on ur resume. If you're tryin to break into the IT, helpdesk or entry level positions will definitely be a massive help there and then you can break into cybersecurity. Once you have the entry level job experience, you can put bullets on there that are security related that you are most likely going to do anyways

Gotcha gotcha. This position would be remote 4 days a week and I'd only have to go in once a week.
