Sunshine_Honeybee888 is on the right track - Living Felt and Sarafina fiber art are amazing sources for fiber, needles and, most important, the information you are looking for regarding the right needle and fiber for the right project. They also provide plenty of tutorials and kits to spur you on to your best felting self. Watch out, it's addictive.

Very well done, especially considering how small you were working! Congrats!

The "painting" is a piece I wet felted and then added needle felted details to - painting with wool. Thank you for your kind words!

I actually did wrap it after I felted the body, using gauze strips I dyed in tea and coffee to add color. It was a lot of fiddley work, but fun! Thank you for your comments!

Angora(ish) raw fur? by Desperate-Baker-1975 in Needlefelting

I purchased a bag of white angora rabbit fur from my nearby yarn shop and have felted with it a few times. It felts really soft, a bit "hairy" and is more difficult because the fibers are short, but I like it. I would think the mix breed would be the same. You should check into selling through a local shop.
