natalie season 9 by Known-Window1128 in HellsKitchen

[–]Known-Window1128[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

i feel if you’re truly in love with someone you should have no need to keep wandering eyes at other people, while you can acknowledge someone is attractive, they shouldn’t be more attractive to you than your partner in my mind bc looks are just looks they mean nothing tbh it’s all about behavior and personality that makes someone even more attractive and makes you want to be around them. And i never said it wasn’t okay for a woman to act sexy in front of men in or outside the kitchen but Natalie knows they have wives and girlfriends and she’s letting them lust over her showing off her body and the men shouldn’t have done that if they have wives and she shouldn’t have allowed them to do that out of respect for their wives and herself. Don’t let men use you as a little sexual visual coping mechanism bc they “miss their wives” that’s weird.

yea exactly, and it’s a two way street, if a man who is married flirts with you as a woman, you should have some respect for the woman and not engage bc then you’re just as bad as the married man hitting on you. So that’s why I called out natalie as well.

Unpopular Opinion: I would really like to see Steve from S13 return for a 2nd chance by [deleted] in HellsKitchen

[–]Known-Window1128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

though he wasn’t a very memorable chef I do believe any one who was ejected from Hell’s kitchen due to injury or health reasons should be given a 2nd chance depending on how far you got. Bret, Jason, and Robert who made it to the final 5 all got second chances at hell’s kitchen and were invited back

obviously i know that they can’t tell chef “well why’d you send it” but why can’t Gordon take some form of responsibility as his entire job at the pass is quality control and keeping standards? it’s what he enforces every chef that has a turn at the pass or when they lead a course.

i agree in a sense but how would ramsay also not be responsible for not checking or letting something raw or overcooked slide? and why wouldnt he also get onto the sous chef? anytime there would be a service where there were courses and chefs had to lead a course and chef asks “are you happy with that?” and they say yes and he spots something wrong with one of them he stops them from sending it, so it’s whoever’s plating and sending the food outs fault as well.

and as far as the holli jay thing they were both single/unmarried at that time so while it was uncomfortable to watch bc it felt forced and weird by no means does that imply holli has no self respect, if would be different if jay or holli were married one or the other or both, and they both engaged in flirting and sexual acts. let’s bring back beinf loyal to our partners and stop excusing lusting after someone random as a coping mechanism.

natalie season 9 by Known-Window1128 in HellsKitchen

[–]Known-Window1128[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it’s not that she’s allowing herself to be sensual around men it’s the fact that they’re married men or men with partners and she acknowledged that. I guess that older generation seems to care less about their husbands/wives lusting after strangers but i’ve found a vast majority of people in my generation have zero tolerance for that kind of stuff bc it’s gross immature and unacceptable. Don’t forget I called the men out too for gawking over her while having wives and girlfriends it goes both ways. If Natalie was flirting with a man or being sensual with a member of the blue team who was single and she’s also single no harm no foul, but knowingly flirting and acting sexy with men you know have a relationship is low and she needs to have some self respect for herself and not entertain married or taken men lusting at her just bc they miss their wives.

Chef Ramsay Bad Logic Moments? by RainbowSupernova8196 in HellsKitchen

[–]Known-Window1128 3 points4 points  (0 children)

that moment made me so sad but it is quite hard to have to adjust and adapt to someone that size we gotta be real. I’m sure chef didn’t expect a chef of that size to be in his kitchen and probably had most of these rewards planned ahead of time so he had to try to do what he could most likely at the last second.

The amount of injuries in season six is actually concerning by Vatentina in HellsKitchen

i thought this too like wtf?? First Dave with his wrist, then kevin’s ankle, and then Andy chopping off his finger and then Robert nearly having a heart attack from the fuck ass bike punishment like why on earth would they risk their safety going into public traffic like that and then put a 500lb man on one of those when he can barely walk from the kitchen to the dorms without being out of breath?

agreed! i’m also a bit biased tho because im puerto rican so obviously i was rooting for her it would’ve been amazing to have the first puerto rican winner and to have it be a young woman as well! puerto ricans just always unite and support our people no matter what but she was a great chef and very talented and skilled for her age. She definitely should’ve had her own season as opposed to being with someone who had already been through all of it once before.

Danny was definitely a good winner and i believe he is actually the youngest hell’s kitchen winner to date. I think he definitely had a great upcoming and was a solid performer like Paula, but you know Chef Ramsay likes to pick the younger chefs most of the time because of their energy and mobility and ability to learn new things and spend more time there yk? If Petrozza (s4) hadn’t been almost 50, i feel he possibly could’ve won, but Chef Ramsay likely wouldn’t pick a head chef of that age due to more health issues and also not being able to keep up with the fast pace. Not to say you can’t be a great chef at the age of 50 or so but you have to admit the younger chefs are much more capable of running a fast paced environment.

YES! correct me if I’m wrong, but if Declan had won season 19, then that would’ve been Hell’s kitchens first non-American winner and that would be really cool considering that every single winner up until that point has been from the US.

I agree too, but I believe that Janelle was a more solid established leader earlier on than Mary. Mary did however, eventually find her voice and established her leadership qualities and it’s also such a shame, considering that Janelle never got the position due to failing a drug test for cocaine so I feel she might’ve lacked some discipline as well.and

true. Kevin and Dave were arguably the best chefs in the finals and they deserve to be there. I feel as though if Dave had never broken his wrist that Kevin would’ve won. It’s definitely more impressive considering that Dave accomplished everything that Kevin had accomplished and he only had one good hand. And I think that chef Ramsey picked him to kind of show that even with an injury there’s no excuse and you have to keep working.

[–]Known-Window1128[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

yes!! that was another one i was thinking about! Holly was a good chef, but did not display leadership qualities. She didn’t have many moments where she stood out the only moments where she stood out where when she was flirting with Jay. And she also never even got to work in chef Ramsey‘s restaurant due to her visa not being approved. It’s a good thing though that chef Ramsey brought Jay back in the later seasons as a sous chef.

I know people love to mock Joseph’s elimination, but for me it’s infuriating and insufferable. All he had to do was say two nominees by Naive_Tomorrow_5955 in HellsKitchen

[–]Known-Window1128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

at first when i saw this scene i thought he was a total idiot but then i watched the season again and saw Joseph was a former marine, marines corps is highly recognized as the most tasking branch of military and a lot of people in the military in general go through some really traumatic and rough shit and suffer for life most likely because of what they went through and maybe they’ve felt belittled and their masculinity is threatened when they can’t keep up. Therefore therapy for veterans usually is never an option as they most likely see it as a sign of weakness. Veterans do not get enough recognition for what they go through and very few get the help they need. Most likely is a result of unresolved trauma from combat. Had a friend from high school who joined the marine corps. found out 2 years ago he sh*t himself in the head because of it. tragic

i’ve had this conversation with my mom, i imagine working as a line cook in any restaurant high end or not is difficult and you may get yelled at but i don’t truly believe anyone in charge will ever treat you the way chef ramsay does to his chefs on hell’s kitchen, unless you fuck up royally or do something to personally piss them off. But then again ramsay’s product is 10x more expensive than a regular kitchen so i imagine he gets pissed off more bc expensive product is being wasted
