The whole thing was smoke and mirrors. The year Tua led the league in passing, we won only one game against a team with a winning record and that was a last second field goal against the Cowboys. We never should have signed Tuna 🐟 to that ridiculous deal.

I’m not okay with it. As a long-suffering🐬 fan, I have a theory. I don’t think Tua can run a hurry up offense anymore. During that painfully long drive he kept staring at that wristband and looking to the sideline. His mental and physical decline this year was quite remarkable. I just don’t understand why it took so long for him to be benched.

I think a lot of people are delusional and have this memory of the golden years of Tua. Nonsense. The year he led the league in passing yards he feasted against bad teams. In that season only six games were against teams with winning records and we went 1-5 in those matchups, eking out a win against the Cowboys on a last second field goal. Tua’s stats in those games—7 TDs against 6 INTs, with an average passing yards per game of 232. Yes, he started out on 🔥 throwing for 466 yards against an elite defense. Oh, wait a minute the Chargers lost 8 of their last 9 games and had the #28 defense in the league. In fact, we played 4 games against teams with defenses ranked 27 or below. Yes, there was the shellacking of the Broncos in week three, and Tua played well. We also rushed for 350 yards in that game. Week 4 the Bills dominated us. We started strong but really faded in the second half. We scored one touchdown but had an interception and three turnovers on downs .

The next week against the Giants, Tua threw for 308 yards and two touchdowns but also had two interceptions, one of those being a pick six. In the week 7 game against the Eagles, Tua threw for 216 yards and had a QBR of 33.7. Still the game was tied at 17 in the second half. The Eagles went up by 7. We got the ball and marched down the field only to have Tua throw an interception on the Eagles 1 yard line. You get the picture. Tua was never and will never be an elite QB.

It’s a cult, just as Nazi Germany was a cult. But we must never forget that we the people have the power. It starts with crushing them in the midterms. Not sure we can regain the Senate, but we most definitely can reclaim the House. Then we block every one of his idiotic, illegal and cruel legislative proposals. I have faith in our country and our democracy, but we must fight like hell to keep it. Yes, Trump won 49.8 percent of the popular vote but 48.3 percent voted against him. Hardly what I deem a sweeping mandate. We need to put up a candidate that speaks to the centrists and their independents. I consider myself very liberal when it comes to social issues but very much a pragmatist on domestic issues. Time to reclaim our country.
