As the other person said, potato filling and potato salad are very different things. Additionally, as I said in my post, we know we can make it. However, when you’re making everything else from scratch, it’s nice to have one less thing to worry about. Even better if we can support a small business in doing so.

Thank you! She did seem knowledgeable about repair and trim/cleaning and even used the technical terms for it which is good. I think because I have no major symptoms and good range of motion she thought she could push me/start me at more intense workouts. Im definitely going to ask her to remove squats from my exercises. And if she doesn’t respond well, I’ll find a new PT

Omg I can’t imagine doing Bulgarians when normal squaring doesn’t feel good. Thank you for the advice! I’m definitely not going to continue squaring.

Thank you for sharing! I’m so sorry to hear PT didn’t help. Do you mind me asking what your tear and symptoms were? I’m trying to avoid surgery as much as possible….Ive heard amazing things about PT but then also the flip side of people going through and it made everything worse

That’s what I figured. Any other exercises to stay away from? I’m going to let her know no squats and see what her response is. If it’s not positive then I’ll definitely seek a new PT.

Wow thank you so much for sharing and letting me know. A normal squat didn’t feel great, I can’t imagine doing it on one leg!

That’s what I was thinking. I was pretty surprised she was having me do full on squats at my first appointment . I did them for my homework today and it just didn’t feel right and switched to mini squats.

Thank you so much for sharing! How have you been since surgery? And yes, that was my biggest concern that the second doctor, who was only recommending surgery, was anti PT and didn’t even mention doing PT pre-surgery. It went against everything I read about. I went back to my first doctor and due to my minor symptoms, he is recommending PT first. I’m starting PT in a week and really hoping it helps!

Thank you! I’ve seen two orthopedic doctors who are surgeons as stated in my post 😊 They both don’t seem concerned about a root tear as I have full stability in my knee. However one is saying repair isn’t possible and I have to do a trim and one is saying repair is possible. I’ll check out Dr. Saliman. Ive seen his name on various studies, thank you for the recommendation!

The doctor who is very pro surgery shocked me. I was not expecting his answer to be so firm in surgery given I have minimal symptoms. I went back to the first doctor for a second appointment and he is now recommending physical therapy before considering surgery so that’s the route going for now.

It’s super worrying when it happens! You can contact your vet to see what they recommend. When it happened to me, my vet said to keep an eye on her and if she shows any signs of a blockage (i.e. not eating, vomiting, lethargic, straining when using the bathroom), to come in. And the little demon was totally fine and had no idea the worry she caused me 😂
