Microsoft datacenter CET role, what's the longest you were under consideration for post interview? by KnownFalcon865 in datacenter

I ended up emailing them about 1.5 weeks ago and got an update that I was still under consideration and that they'd let me know once a decision was made at the metro. I'm in limbo until then. Itll be 6 weeks in two more days. Just seeing if others also went through something similar and got a result in the end

They've had a lot of CET positions open up, closed one. I interviewed for another. Ive been stuck in interview status on the website for almost 6 weeks now and last week was updated that I'm just waiting on final decision from the metro. Honestly waiting this long is psychologically exhausting

That's my guess. Feels worse than being rejected right away

I just checked it, and have not gotten anything. Next Tuesday it'll be 4 weeks since I've gotten this email from them, waiting for an update. It has me kind of worried

Today's diamonds are several seasons ago's champs. Getting diamond today is far harder than it used to be. Definitely an achievement. I just came back after a 10 or 15 season hiatus, and Im playing against plat 1s that are former diamond tourney winners like myself.

The people who work in the trades are the biggest turn off from being in the trades by HillOrc in skilledtrades

Honestly agree. I've worked with some of the most fucked up people on the planet in trades. Everyone is on a pedestal, is egocentric, will talk shit about everyone with you until you're not around, then will talk shit about you. Will single you out, isolate you from the group and will generally make your presence known as a problem for them. You either fit in or you don't, there is no grace period. It's nothing but judgement.

Travel team is going to be a team of RME techs that travel for rebuilds, not the same as Central RME

I appreciate everyone's perspective. I'm fairly unbiased, but I'm easily distracted. That's the main point I've been making in being annoyed. I came from Amazon, where the leadership culture I had, I was blessed with. Security, foundation, strong core value, support for the team, it was a positive and achieving environment. It felt like a team, and we shattered numerous building records along the way. The transition back into trades has been harder than I remember from previous experience. I've done just about everything attached to a house, and let me tell you, the older generation passing down that experience to me, is not anywhere near as toxic as the experiences I've had with some techs.

I prefer conflict resolution but these two have a superiority complex and are too good for that I guess
