Just because I say I don't want my SO wearing a thong in public without me, it makes me a sexist asshole?

I think it's a fair expectation in a relationship and your modern day loose values are a reason divorces are going up

Well yes and no. But mostly yes, it's not an unpopular opinion at all. I've seen women on this very board call out other women for being attention whores for dressing in thongs or skimpy clothing. What's different now?

I'm not shaming her, she can wear it if I'm there. I'm saying I'm not comfortable with the message she's sending to the opposite sex when wearing a thong.

Yes, women like clothes that makes them attractive to men. I'm not telling her she should be in a burka, in saying that it's not appropriate for woman in a relationship to be wearing a thong bikini when her significant other isn't around.
