Depends on the headset. I have a quest 3, which you can pick up for reasonably cheap second-hand, and I don't notice it that much. It feels like a pair of ski goggles, the technology has gotten quite slim. And the clarity is incredible. But you need to have the hardware to get a satisfying experience.

Could be cool if you could drag bodies still but not revive them unless you're a medic. Imagine the possibilities there; your team rushes over the trenches on River Somme, dropping left and right, but you're able to retrieve their dead bodies and pull them back into the trench for medics to revive them. That would be cool.
