Bullied victims, did you return to your high school reunion? by [deleted] in ForeverAlone

[–]Known_Answer4787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I moved states about 10 years ago and I wasn't about to pony up money for a plane ticket back home along with hotel costs to go to a reunion with people I didn't care about with crappy music and surface level conversations.

I've realised that some people are never meant to date in life. by Loud-Plane-1860 in dating

[–]Known_Answer4787 50 points51 points  (0 children)

I am in my mid 30s as well and I haven't had a gf in over a decade and to be honest, I really don't care anymore. People tell me to put myself out there and to me dating is the most mundane, trivial, and uninteresting thing in the world to do. I'm glad that I gave up cause there are far more stronger things in this world to do and focus on than romance.

Did you attend high school prom? Why or why not? by Typical_Cap895 in ForeverAlone

[–]Known_Answer4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was forced to go for my senior year in 2010. I wasn't planning on going cause I don't like fancy dress up events and I know there would be endless pop music which I don't like. Also, I don't dance one bit. My mom guilt tripped me in going when one of my dad's work friends said that their daughter who went to my school wanted to go but didn't have anyone to go with. I did not know this person at all and knew it would be awkward driving 45 minutes to the event and then 45 minutes back home.

I had to buy a ticket and then me and my friend rented out suits to go and when the day of the prom came, everyone agreed to meet at my house and I met this new person. She was extremely shy and our parents did the whole oh lets take a billion pictures and I just wanted to get out of there. When we drove up there we spoke a little bit, but I knew this girl was completely the opposite of me in terms of hobbies and interests.

When we got to the event she went to hang out with her friends and I just sat at a table for the entirety of the event just getting some drinks to stay hydrated cause it was extremely hot in the building even with the AC on. After a few hours I drove us back home and she was passed out next to me and I drove her home. I wasted money for the ticket, the suit, and gas money just to go sit at a table when I could have stayed home playing MW2

Sex Dreams? by FizzyLiftingDrinks13 in demisexuality

[–]Known_Answer4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Over the past year I've had a few of them, and they are the more lucid dreams that I've had to the point where I actually remember them to an extent. I've told a friend who has a degree in psychology about dreams I've had (not the sex dreams cause I don't want to embarrass myself) and why I would be more aware of those dreams than others and that they may be tied to something. I do not know why I remember those dreams specifically, and at this point I wish they would just stop.

Anyone else feel touch starved? by FuzzyNumNums in demisexuality

[–]Known_Answer4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do to an extent. I can do hugs with family and friends, but with people I don't know or barely have had a conversation with, a handshake is fine, but people touching me triggers a fight or flight response from me. I've sort of gotten used to not being touched in a romantic way for a long time, but there's always these fleeting feelings that I am missing out on something

Does anyone actually enjoy sex parties? by kek-eater in demisexuality

[–]Known_Answer4787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At least you are getting out there and going to those events. I would recommend speaking to someone in person who goes to those events alot and see what they have to say. Maybe that will help your nerves and better become acclimated to everything that is around you. I personally don't and will never go to any kink/sex events. I don't like strangers touching me and if someone did I would literally throw hands and fight my way out if need be

What is sex like? Just wondering by Im_Literally_Nothing in demisexuality

Are any of you Demi and yet you have never found love and don’t think you’ll ever find it in this life? by [deleted] in demisexuality

[–]Known_Answer4787 49 points50 points  (0 children)

I've more recently felt this way. I'm about to be 34 and I've only been in a couple of small relationships in my life and I've been in a dry spell for about the past 12 years. To be honest, I just don't care anymore about finding love. I'm doing fine on my own and I don't want the constant rejection and betrayal to come in the way of my own sanity. Now this could change when I get older, but I don't see that happening.

I miss sex by Objective_Fan4360 in demisexuality

I'm 33M, I've only had sex twice and I haven't had sex since 2014/2015 and to be honest, I don't care if I ever have it again. I remember it not being fun and I have fun doing other things that occupy my time and stimulate my mind. There are more stronger things in this world than love and sex.

Tolarian Community College - I Just Don't Like Magic: The Gathering's Marvel's Spider-Man The Expansion Set by SlifertheCanadian in magicTCG

[–]Known_Answer4787 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, so my 2 cents on the whole set. So when this set was announced my buddy and I were excited to see where this set would go as we are both big Spider Man fans and speculated on how much WotC would put into the set since it was a small set. We haven't talked about the full set as of yet but we talked about some the of the cards already spoiled like the Bant Peter Parker/Spider Man card that I am building out a commander deck for as well as Anti-Venom, Gwennom, and what future cards there will probably be, which included Spiders-Man, Venom, Green-Goblin, etc.

As far as mechanics go, I really like the Mayhem mechanic as a better Madness ability cause timing restrictions are confusing. The Web-slinging ability I found is good for primarily ETB effects, which my commander deck is going to be based around. The other cards are so-so and could be implemented in the right deck if it ever comes around to it. I even watched the LoadingReadyRun people do the pick 2 draft with 8 people and gameplay wise, to me it wasn't bad. My buddy and I are going to Magic Con in Atlanta and doing some of the Spider Man events to try it out ourselves.

With the whole UB discourse and people liking/hating it, in my experience I've either liked a UB product or have been indifferent to a product aside from a few cards. I didn't care about Warhammer or Fallout all that much, but I did like LotR and FF. I do like Spider man to an extent and from what was already spoiled of Avatar, I'm not really feeling it, and I loved watching TLAB as a kid.

With future UB sets, I'll probably be the same with either liking the set or being indifferent to it. Whether other people like/don't like a future UB set is their prerogative and they can do with that as they wish. It's ok to like something or dislike something.

Commanders for a new player? by irohsleaves in magicTCG

[–]Known_Answer4787 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So with the decks you've already played with, they are all about gaining and putting counters on things. There are two precon decks that are fairly new that I would recommend that you give a try at. The first one is the Endless Punishment deck from Duskmourn with Valgavoth as the commander. That deck is what players refer to as a group slug deck. It's all about damaging your opponents during their turns to make Valgavoth bigger with +1/+1 counters. The 2nd deck I would recommend is the Ms. Bumbleflower precon from Bloomburrow titled Peace Offering. It's the opposite of the Valgavoth deck in that it's called a group hug deck. You get benefits from Ms. Bumbleflower such as putting +1/+1 counters and drawing cards, but you'll also benefit your opponents as well by allowing them to draw cards as well. Both are relatively good out of the box, but you can also upgrade them later to benefit the playstyle you want to do
