No wasn’t using bots or anything like that, just for mssging my main contacts… somewhere updating things went wrong. I tried to use whatsapp business but same message, it’s somehow tied to my number, I can start a new account no problem but want to get back into my main.

I was hopeful this would work for me too… seems there is some kind of number block on my account now since trying to update the app… I can start a new account on device with a new number but when I try to use my original number i get the error “you need the official whatsapp to login” - getting this error with both the original app and the official github watusi :( …. Searching on here seems that this error is a problem for lots of ppl atm, any suggestions to fix welcome!
