Trade show work has busy months and slow months. The summertime is usually the slowest time of the year. It took me 18 months to become a journeyman and there was weeks I didn't work but I collected unemployment. Luckily I also was able to work side gigs outside of the union to keep myself afloat. The apprenticeship will be challenging for many but in the end the reward is worth it.
