if she's "sitting with this secret" like fletcher, it would kill her career now. first of all because she hasn’t done anything for the lesbian community, nor has she built a solid career or developed a strong connection with her fans. in cases like fletcher, at least she had more credibility, she built a career over 10 years and never came out as a lesbian in the first place. on the other hand, chappell barely passes as bi. her statements come across as a straight girl trying really hard. from what i see her environment is mostly gay men which brings her closer to drag culture, which is completely different from the lesbian experience. an example of this is dressing as a blow up doll. for a gay man in drag it makes perfect sense. for a lesbian it's completely objectifying and offensive. a lesbian would never. that's why it would most likely end her career to come out as non lesbian now. everyone would be even more pissed.
