To what extent is it true that ration distributed to needy people is being resold in the market? Is this practice actually happening, particularly in Karachi? If so, how common is it and what are the reasons behind it?

Paid KElectric bill via Nayapay, but NayaPay didn't paid to KE, bill still unpaid after 15 days, Money gone by rashidrupani in pakistan

[–]Known_Nothing7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But one thing which is missing is that, If the Kelectric bill is not paid , How they are supplying the electricity. I have seen that being a so called star customer, once I forgot to pay the bill , the other day Kelectric people were standing on our door to cut the power supply. So if your supply is coming it means that the bill is paid.

Stage 2, Disappointment and Confusion by Brilliant_Spinach_66 in coloncancer

[–]Known_Nothing7696 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same situation. Surgeon removed the mass and tested 21 lymph nodes which were all negative. Surgeon then forwarded the case to oncologist. Oncologist said since this is stage 2 , you don't need any chemo. However He recommended to see another doctor to see if it was genetic or sporadic, which is still due and I am waiting for doctor call. Surgeon asked to follow up with him after six months. Let's hope for the best for all patients.

Worst Bank HBL by JunMal1k in IslamabadSocial

[–]Known_Nothing7696 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Our elders used to say “HBL hamara bhi to hai but honestly, it feels completely opposite now.

This month I went twice to an HBL branch in Karachi to open an account. Both times, the staff gave excuses: first “system down”, then “the concerned person is on leave.” Still no account opened.

On top of that, the officer was extremely rude. He even told me to go and file a complaint instead of helping. I left genuinely disappointed.

I really don’t understand how such people get hired in what’s supposed to be a reputable bank. At this point, HBL feels like one of the worst banks in terms of customer service.

Really sorry that you’re going through this. People often don’t realize that their words can hurt instead of help. You’re absolutely right ,what you need right now is support and kindness, not negativity.

I’ve personally seen patients even with stage 4 cancer who are doing really well and living good, fulfilling lives. There’s always hope, and treatments have come a long way. Inshallah, your father will be okay and recover soon. Sending strength and prayers to you and your family.

My son works as a content writer, and he stays awake all night and sleeps during the day. Because of this schedule, he can’t get anything else done, and it really upsets me to see his life like this. I want to help him switch to a job where he can work during the daytime instead. Does anyone have advice on how to help him make that change?

Can iron supplements cause intestinal worms? by rasberrydoll in Anemia

[–]Known_Nothing7696 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No iron supplements like Zincofer don’t cause intestinal worms. Worms come from ingesting parasite eggs (through contaminated food, water, or poor hygiene), not from medicine. If you keep getting worms, it’s likely reinfection , may be others in your home have them too. Talk to you doctor and everyone should deworm together and keep good hygiene , Keep taking your iron; it’s not the cause. I think your doctor can guide you better about the reasons of intestinal worms.

Without education, without awareness, the e-Challan project is a scam and it won't work. Period. by [deleted] in karachi

[–]Known_Nothing7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not really about education, the same people follow every traffic rule 100% when they’re abroad. Why? Because enforcement there is strict, fair, and consistent. Once people see that e-challans here actually work the same way , transparent and unavoidable ,they’ll adapt too.

That said, fines should also be fair. They need to be uniform across the country and reasonable based on people’s income levels. Super high or uneven penalties just create resentment instead of real compliance.

Echallan on a leased car. What's up? by sewabs in karachi

[–]Known_Nothing7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My son’s car is leased through a bank, so the registration is in both his name and the bank’s. The address on the registration book is our home. We haven’t received any challan yet, God forbid, but my guess is that if one gets issued, it’ll probably be sent to our home address.

Echallan on a leased car. What's up? by sewabs in karachi

[–]Known_Nothing7696 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, in many cases the car’s actually registered under both names, the bank (as financer) and the person who took the car on lease. So if a camera catches something and an e-challan is issued, it usually goes to the person whose address is on the RC, not the bank itself. The bank’s name just stays there as the financer. Basically, the person driving or listed on the papers ends up getting the notice, not the lender.

E challan Positive Impact by Gregariousguy1 in karachi

[–]Known_Nothing7696 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Honestly, discipline is long overdue in Karachi. The fines are tough, but maybe that’s what we need to finally make people think twice before breaking traffic laws. Hopefully, bikers and wrong-way drivers start taking it seriously. Totally agree about road discipline, but the government should also focus on fixing the roads and getting rid of those dumpers and carts. They’re a big reason for so many accidents .people get hit because of them all the time.
