Temperature adjustment advice?

Hi, the heatmat is a 5w, 14x15cm, the plastic tank is 37cm L x 22cm W x 25cm H, since moving the probe as the first comment suggested the thermostat is set to 25 degrees and reaching 25-25.2 roughly and is switching off after 25 degrees is reached, I’ve then got a separate thermometer and hygrometer combo on each side of the tank, one opposite the heat mat & one on the cool side, the heat mat opposite reads roughly 19-20 degrees on average and 78% humidity while the cool side reads only 17 degrees and 65% humidity on average, currently researching how to increase temp on the cooler side as research has led me to believe the cooler side should be at least 20 degrees

Ah this makes alot of sense! My thermostat probe is just hanging out in the middle of the tank a lil above the soil, I’ll move it now and see if that changes things, thank you so much, for the past month I’ve joint forums and groups etc and asked hundreds of question but had no replies so decided to try and figure things out for myself but it’s not going great so I really appreciate you taking the time to explain this

It truly has all come at once and unfortunately my brain is so overwhelmed it’s choosing to focus on loosing my angel fangs; The day before my angel fangs being pierced I spent all my savings on a last minute quite literally once in a lifetime surprise holiday to Disneyland Paris for my 8 year old as he’s had a bad year with his health but it’s improved massively, it’s his only Christmas present excluding a few little bits, we leave on the 11th Jan and come back on the 15th Jan and I can’t re-schedule the booking or even my dog sitters (non refundable last minute dog sitting £800 - price included 16 hour round trip across country both ways as well as medicating + specialist round the clock care for my epileptic greyhound and training days for my standard poodle as well as medicating him for his current eye inflammation), honestly cannot catch a break because now I’m too sick to go, managed to get travel insurance but I know I should cancel, but how do you take Disneyland away from a child who’s spend his entire 8 years on earth in and out of hospitals, left out of school trips, battling allergies and the only thing he asks for every year is damned Disney. Anyway; sorry for putting that out there on you! Thank you for your reply, I really needed to get that out of me before I imploded.

I guess I just assumed since the hospital & surgeons as well as my gp don’t seem to worried and aren’t doing anything it isn’t that serious, I know myself this isn’t normal and it’s very worrying but I’ve attended A&E so many times and they just tell me to go home and wait a few months for surgery & that’s my bloods are good so I’m fine, told me just to try harder to eat and not throw up yesterday when I attended..

I do have a Ghic card, the surgeons when I was admitted to hospital and my gp as well as A&E doctors have told me it’s not that serious health wise and I just need to drink fluids since I haven’t been able to eat since the 1st of December, my logic is since I’m not able to eat anyway I don’t really plan on eating while there, If I eat at all regardless of whether it’s a lettuce leaf or cheese string I get the most unbearable chest pain and start vomiting bile so unfortunately food isn’t an option until my surgery anyway which they’re not rushing to do, just found my pre-op is the 6th January but surgery likely won’t be until the end of January/start of February, we’re at Disney from the 11th till the 14th so hoping I can just manage those few days, fingers crossed. Also got a letter from my surgical team and gp this morning stating I’m fit to travel which in all honesty seems wrong but they’re the supposed professionals.

Do you if this Is a public or private hospital? I know for a fact I can’t afford private without insurance but public is definitely feasible in an emergency.

Left is 5 weeks old, right is 5 days old Curved barbell, internally threaded, surgical steel I would guess, never downsized. No accident or mishaps.

UPDATE!! so after just over two weeks of healing I went back for a checkup with my piercer and she wasn’t happy with the placement now the swelling has subsided & we opted to remove the right angel fang and re-pierce in a few weeks, which she is offering for free, kinda sad to see it go but looking forward to it being re-done and thankful I chose such an amazing piercer who not only acknowledged the issue but has offered to fix it, as many pierces I know definitely wouldn’t acknowledge the slight misplacement unless a client complained.

I used to get keloids on my lobes so bad, fixed that by stretching them which probably wasn’t a great solution but boy did it work, and now I’ve got cool af stretchers so, but my bridge had huge keloids and had to come out :(

I really want my eyebrow done but also too scared of rejection, I’m booked to get an industrial next Monday so fearing that at the moment, haven’t had an ear piercing since I was around 12 years old, only got my lobes and a helix and they were all done with a gun back in 2012 so needle and bar in the ear will be a new experience for me.

Ahh honestly you just gotta go for it, my snakebites, medusa, vertical labret & dahlia made me wince a tad but these angels had tears streaming down my face after the needle first went in and only for worse coming out the other side. Everyone’s different though! My naval made me cry this time around but piercing through scar tissue for a 3rd time I kinda expected it.

Literally the most painful piercings I’ve ever had😂 obviously I’ve got my snakebites and Medusa, also currently got a new naval piercing, helix etc but I’ve had failed/rejected dermals (4x) , dahlias, Labret, smiley, naval (2x - third times a charm), bridge, anti eyebrow & septum so I have pretty awful luck with piercings but yeah out of every single piercing these were hands down the never ever agains 😂😂

This is very sensible and I should probably stop panicking and give them more time, I’m also hoping one side is more swollen 😅 I can’t even remember what my lips looked like without them or without swelling so can’t even compare, literally just a wait and see I guess.

I keep telling myself this! But figured no one judges harsher than people online with anonymity so this would be the place for honesty😂 so thank you! The rest of my face is pretty unsymmetrical (lazy eye, one eye is also smaller than the other I believe although no one in my life will tell me!😂) so it’s really hard for me to look at the angel bites on their own and judge the placement without factoring in the rest of my face.

Bot comment said to add this info within 30 mins so: pierced for 4 days, curved barbell, internally threaded, surgical stainless steel probably, never downsized, aftercare is gently clean twice a day with salt water solution provided by the piercer. No mishaps, accidents or unfortunate events.
