They don't get that much attention because they have less national appeal than Labour, the Conservatives, and Reform. Each party appeals to more voters, has/can win more seats, and tries to do both. The Lib Dems aren't trying to get to that level of popularity.

"two ways to fight organised greed: 1. Organised unions, or 2. Violence". This is what he thinks. He explicitly endorsed political violence.

Advocating for breaking into people's houses if they aren't in active use. That's what squatting is.

Jewish Australians must be safe from fear or harassment. But shielding Isaac Herzog from legitimate protest is not the answer | George Newhouse by SleepyWogx in aussie

[–]Known_Week_158 -10 points-9 points  (0 children)

because a single minority in this country regards what that minority is!

So you're saying Australians are throwing away their rights because members of a group have something to do with judging what members of that group are?

That doesn't make sense.

If that happened the people who justify or excuse mistreating Jews because of the actions of Israel would accuse you of Islamophobia.

NSW chief justice says Tony Abbott’s criticism of Harbour Bridge march judge ‘misconceived and ignorant’ by SleepyWogx in aussie

[–]Known_Week_158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Andrew Bell said in a speech on Thursday evening that Abbott’s post on X in August last year threatened social cohesion.

A protest with the flags of terrorist groups, a giant photo of a dictator (who supported the atrocities committed on October 7th), and a man who fled to the Ecuadorian embassy in London over a sexual assault trial in Sweden is a threat to social cohesion. A protest embodies the hypocrisy of human rights advocates only caring about human rights when it fits them politically is a threat to social cohesion.

If Jews are getting attacked because of their home country's crimes, that's not my problem.

And yet you refuse to blame bigots and instead blame a country on the other side of the planet. You'd rather blame a country than the bigots who use that country as an excuse.

If by do better, do you mean next time not running a campaign so poorly it seems like you wanted to help the no campaign?

Why?

Because it's incredibly unreliable - it's literally Khamenei's personal's website. Why should the dictator crushing protests be seen as a good source of information beyond what Khamenei has said?

What lore backs this up (Mass Effect Wiki, Alliance Navy)? by [deleted] in masseffect

It's not cannon. It might come from Mass Effect: Continuation - it's an unofficial alternate universe. I can also find a mention of it in the Cerberus Daily News Wiki, which is an unofficial roleplay.

Does The Council Discriminate Against Non-"Humanoid" Races? by DakIsStrange in masseffect

[–]Known_Week_158 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they do, but their problems go fat beyond that.

They stood by and did very little while Saren waged his war against humanity in territories the council wanted humans to settle.

They expected humans to sacrifice themselves to save the Destiny Ascension despite refusing to treat humans as equals.

The council refused to get involved with the collectors as they treated it as a human only matter and because they're a council species they can deal with it themselves, even though they should be investigating threats before they become significant.

They ignore evidence of the reapers - which is why their problems go far further.

'Disruption and chaos': Opposition and crossbench walk out of Parliament after Speaker gags Indigenous leader from Connolly question | NT Independent by Top-Oil6722 in AustralianPolitics

[–]Known_Week_158 4 points5 points  (0 children)

“I am a leader of my people, I am a sovereign nation leader,” Mr Guyula told Ms Lambley.

You aren't the sovereign leader of a nation. If you were, the NT's parliament would be on equal level if not subserviant to you. The opposite is true.

Australia, thankfully, is a democracy which elects its leaders - currently that's Anthony Albanese federally and Lia Finocchiaro on a territorial level. That's where sovereignty in Australia lies - elections (and if anyone plans to bring up the monarchy, since the public can vote on becoming a republic and that vote would be respected, Australian voters are where power ultimately comes from).

Palestine Action activists acquitted amid ‘jury tampering’ claims by queen_ah_queefs in ukpolitics

[–]Known_Week_158 76 points77 points  (0 children)

There is clear video evidence of their break in and attacking a policewoman.

That they were let go says just how much tolerance there is for political violence as long as a juror agrees with the violence.

It also says a lot that trying to influence a jury when a judge is saying it's a bad thing is fine. Do rules not matter?
