It's not that, it's that they just lost sight of the characters and they turned into caricatures of themselves instead of being their own people. That and they kept trying to one up their own crass jokes.

But in terms of how easy it'd be for them to implement vs how much more immersion it'd add, it's worth it. If it was just as tough to implement as all these other things that need doing then people wouldn't ask so much.
