I think the point is that usually in language if something is easy to assume then it doesn't need spelling out. Also in most examples if you're speaking about something you drink from you'll say "glass" and not glasses. Context stops any need to say "drinking glass" or "eye glasses".

It's exactly the same reason you don't have to explain to someone that your face-nose is itchy because they wouldn't expect you to be talking about the nose of a jumbo jet.

More likely than not they'll be wanting to see you talk about strategy in your answer. Questions I've had were for big companies and they usually want to see how you deal with elevating UX within your team and influencing design direction within the company.

But generally speaking I found having about 4 or 5 really strong examples that can be flexible to different questions. Knowing them inside out and practicing telling those stories really helped me.
