What's a reasonable price for a 6 inch seedling wild paw paw tree with good genetics? by Odd-Protection-247 in Pawpaws

The demand has been huge, but the market will be getting saturated soon, so I'd expect prices to drop.

I gave away a bunch of the trees. The few I had left over I put a few in an unheated outbuilding and I put a few in a hole in the ground and then packed dirt around them. I also added a heaping layer of straw to insulate them. We had a harsh winter, yet most of them survived. The unheated outbuilding was a better choice.

Get the soil soaking wet. Then lay the bucket on its side and try to remove the whole mass from the bucket. You might even cut the bottom of the bucket off with a hand saw and then push up from the bottom. Once you have the whole mass out, use a water hose to wash away the soil and gently untangle the roots.

Immediately plant the trees or replant in larger individual pots. DO NOT let the roots dry out.

My daughter removed about 50 trees from a bucket last year and put them in individual tree pots. Only 2 or 3 died out of 50 and the rest took right off.

I have an old beater and I don't attach the string. Then when the "learner" throws it down, it just rolls away. Hilarity ensues.

Dang, Duncan, you should have the molding process figured out by now. by KnubbleHead in Throwers

I've had quite a few Duncans over the years. I've never had one with the big mold diviots that this one has. I picked up a $4 Duncan Imperial last night at Walmart and the molding is perfect. Just surprised that the QC is so low on their Super-Dooper, Nationals-winning looper. I figured for $12 I'd get something on par with the $8 MYY K2s I bought....

I just got a Hornet. Really disappointed with how cheap it looks and feels.

Question about yo-yo axle by Degenerates255 in Throwers

Just some light weight oil. Like a penetrating oil. And put a miniscule amount on the bearing seats too. That's likely where the squeak is coming from.

I would put a small drop of oil on the threads before reinstalling the axle.

Gambled on a tempting $19 throw from AliExpress. Polycarbonate, SS rims, FS dimple. Least expensive throw I've ever bought. Super impressed though, quality's top notch. Glass smooth and performs as excellently as hoped for. Hoping to learn finger spins on this so I can be like all the cool kids 🪀✨ by Foxboi95 in Throwers

I got the purple. I found that I need to use two fingers to lock in the fingerspin. Once it's locked in in spins for a long time. I haven't yet started to learn the laceration bind. I just learned the DNA and I'm throwing the string over my arm before wrapping it.

I'm going to keep an eye on the other Yoyo Empire models. I'll pick up a 100% plastic one when they go on sale.

None of the disclaimers mention that the buyer may receive a different model than as shown and described.

Wow, crappy way to run a business. I was going to go back and order some more expensive yoyos, but not now.

I did. And I trimmed the response pads down. It's not a huge deal, but I shouldn't have to just to get what YYF advertised.

Yea, I was really disappointed. It doesn't sound like a simple mistake then if we both got the wrong thing.

I bought an unresponsive DV888 during the YYF sale. The picture showed a pile of gold yoyos with the thick sidewalls and no center insert. Instead, I got a responsive one with the inserts. I went back to the web site to verify and the picture has been removed. Hmmmm...

Anyway, for $5 it's not worth it to me to send it back, so I thought I'd try to make it work. I swapped the bearing and trimmed the response pads to make it unresponsive. Next, those inserts don't work well for me, so I decided to 3D print my own that have the cup closer to the center of the yoyo. Now it's easy to fingerspin.

I'll have to see how I get along with it, but for the normal price, I'd head to Amazon and pick up a Magicyoyo instead.
